Obviously, being in ketosis and being in a calorie deficit is not the same thing. Give it a couple more weeks, then reduce your calories if your not losing.

Determining your BMR or TDEE is a moving target. For me, I set MFP at "slightly active" and use the calories it gave me. I have found that if it eat back the extra exercise calories I'll gain weight, if I don't I'll lose weight as expected or faster. So I settled for 50%.

I road 4000 miles last year and lost 70 lbs while using MMR. Not sure if it's accurate, but using it and MFP is what kept me on track.

+1 pineygirl.... Drink lots of water and keep your potassium in check. I had similar issues. I now drink 140-200 oz of water per day. I know it sounds counter productive, but it works.

I had the same type questions. Lost 60+ lbs 5'10, 168lbs, 54 yrs. Not sure I want to lose any more weight, but would like to drop about 2% BF. Currently estimate my BF at 14-15%. After reading for hours, often getting conflicting information, I've decided to continue eating at a deficit until I reach my goal BF % (mainly…

I lost 60+ pounds. Obviously I could see the difference but still didn't like what I saw in the mirror. Once I started weight/strength training, working 5-6 weeks I was amazed. Especially once the BF dropped below 14‰

Trust the math! If you have calculated your BMR/TDEE correctly, and are truly eating at a deficit, you will lose weight. Weightloss is not linear, it will not go in a straight line.

Weight loss is just about the calorie deficit. But macros are important for health. My first 50 lbs was lost without worrying about macros. Keeping your carbs on track will keep your energy levels up. Fat makes food taste good and keeps you feeling full longer

Thanks for all the advice. I had thought of frozen shoulder as well. I had a shoulder injury a couple years back that was "cured" with a steroid shot directly into the joint. Also thought of anesthesia and then forced thru the ROM. Guess I'll see what the Dr says. Thanks again to all that responded.

Been doing IF 20/4 for several months with an occasional day off. Rarely get hungry during my fasting window. And usually have a hard time eating all my calories during my feed window. For me, it has been great.

Instead of spending all this time on the calculator, spend it at the gym. The rest will take care of itself. Lol.

I lost 70 lbs in the last year. It gets easier. Find your motivation. At first, for me it was to, just once, not be considered obese by all the weight charts. Now I'm considered fit by all measurements. The complements you get are great, but you have to do it for yourself. Do it because you love your body, not because you…

I weight everyday usually. But I understand that the number on the scale is just part of the journey. If you are the type that will panic if the scale doesn't move fast enough or moved in the wrong direction, then you probably shouldn't weigh as often. Weightloss isn't linear. It can fluctuate daily based on a number of…

I lost 65 lbs last year with most of it being in about 6-7 months. Mostly counting calories. The last 15 lbs were harder and slower to come off and was done with massive amounts of cardio. After reaching my goal weight, I cut back on the cardio and started hitting the weights. With weight loss and cardio, I liked looking…

Lost mine at around 14-15% BF. Had to go well below my target weight to hit that BF. Recomping now.

I eat back almost all my workout/cycling calories most days. I still lost weight at or faster than set in MFP. If you accurately track your intake, and don't overestimate your workout calories, you'll be fine. I generally burn about 10,000 a week cycling. Those go into MFP. My weight training, 3-4 times a week, I don't…

While I don't have an exact time window, more often than not I'm on a 20/4 or 21/3. This works great for me. During the day I only have water, coffee, and diet soda (I know, bad). But in the evening, this gives me plenty of calories to eat until I'm full. I never go to bed hungry and usually have 200-500 calories…
