  • Yeah I've gotten more into brewing loose leaf tea lately and it has helped me a lot in this regard.
  • pretty much this stuff non-stop. I don't know that it was the healthiest choice, but i was a younger, less experienced DuckReconMajor
  • Cool thanks! Hoping some gyms near where I live have that equipment. Since I'm a morning person I'd probably be going between 5 and 6 am which I'm hoping would work in my favor.
  • Yeah when I run it always seems so random how well i'm able to do. Only things that seem to consistently change it is whether I've eaten enough/drank enough water in the day or so period before doing the run.
  • Exercising and improving your diet will help with the anxiety, so take the first step and it will get easier. Break the cycle! I also deal with being a perfectionist which is why it took so long to get started on logging my food, something i've wanted to do for a long time. But just remember that doing something good 80%…
  • Great job! Questions: do you go to a gym? If so, how do you ensure the equipment is available there for you to use? Thinking of starting stronglifts at some point and want to know about your experiences.
  • Yes, there's "bread" in the name, but I've found it's one of the few places that I can eat a low calorie meal and be full for the rest of the day. The soups and salads are great.
  • I :heart::heart: Arby's Roast Turkey Farmhouse Salad. It's so good I eat it without dressing. Also do you consider Panera to be fast food? They have a lot of great salads, like the Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken Salad
  • I'm the guy who's known for eating everything and a lot of food gets pushed my way, but a simple "nah" or "no thanks" works, or i laugh along to the "hey, i'm sure duckreconmajor will eat it" then politely decline. Surprised at how well this has worked.
  • I was skinny until i put on over 50 lb in high school. Since then I've been the bigger/fat guy in most groups, but I've always tolerated it, never "embraced" it. I miss being skinny and I've wanted to return to that state for years, but haven't had the drive and the tools to pull it off until now. Will I face this when I…
  • I had this exact experience but not because I was afraid of the truth, I am a perfectionist and was afraid I would not do it 100% accurately. Then I tried it and even though I know I know I'm not 100% accurate it has been so awesome! Similar to you, I said "I will eat whatever I want, but I will log it all as accurately as…
  • Good job! I still have this belief that there is some physical activity that will click with every person. I don't know 100% that it's true but I can hope.
  • I don't understand the statement here. Anyway, I agree with the general sentiment here. 900 calories a day for you is not safe, especially if you are doing a lot of exercise.
  • You will get better as you go. Keep reminding yourself that by making your best attempt to log everything you are many steps ahead of most people and of yourself before you started doing it. There are many tips and bits of info on the forums that will help you be more accurate as you go along. Start by reading these…
  • i ate the chip on my shoulder because im such a fat *kitten* now im angry and want to lose weight
  • I did it for a little while but got nothing out of it so i stopped
  • I take it off after my morning workout when its all sweaty and wash it off with generic Cetaphil, dry it, then let it charge until I'm ready to walk out the door.
  • Yeah, if you have a smartphone, typically there will be a camera above your screen facing the user for taking pictures of yourself, and another on the back for taking pictures of other things (as you normally would with a traditional camera) What happens sometimes is you open your camera app and it's still using the front…
  • Havent hit mainteance, but I plan to continue logging, but spend much less time trying to be exact, just to get a general pinpoint on how much i consumed in a day. But in any case, now that I have a WiFi scale especially, i don't see why i wont be weighing myself every day from here on out.
  • Oh hey we are almost "MFP twins" or whatever the kids call it. I started around 215 and am around 184 now. My belly/boobs have shrunk but I am still not completely satisfied with how they are yet. You can see pics on my profile if you'd like I've had 170 as my lofty "someday" goal for years and the longer I go the more I…
  • I'm sick of having a round, chubby face and am excited to see how my face looks at my goal weight.
  • A couple people have told me I'm good where I am and that 170 is too low. I'm like do you not see these man boobs, how I still look like a barrel from the side, and the fat on my face? And you aren't the ones who have to see this body unclothed LOL
  • Yay, glad to finally see a counterexample. Good luck! I have been doing p90x3 workouts since February which have a lot of bodyweight/dumbbell exercises, but nothing too serious in the weight department. When you hit 195 had you been doing any weight training?
  • love it so far. pretty good calorie burn estimation for my day it seems. also i like the sleep tracking. i have the charge hr.
  • Actually the reverse happened to me. Part of why I feel comfortable with logging my food now is because I use my phone a lot more often. The thought of pulling out my phone and someone seeing that i was keeping track of how many calories I was eating terrified me. Now I just don't give a *kitten*. Well I kinda still do,…
  • I'm the opposite. A lot of my days are a small breakfast, bigger lunch, and no dinner. Anyone else give up on "meals" in mfp logging and just make one called "Food"?
  • It will come off when the rest of the weight comes off.
  • Having more energy, just feeling more able and willing to get things done instead of putting them off. Not getting hot and sweating nearly as much (some people complain about being cold but i'll take that anyday over being hot) Just in general liking how i look a lot more and feeling more confident as a result
  • Where did you get this info? I search for stuff like this but can't find it. Another question if you happen to know: How does the Charge HR's exercise mode alter the calorie burn reported during that time? How much accuracy is lost if you just work out without the Exercise Mode being on?
  • Exercising makes me feel better. When I feel better I don't rely on food as much to make me happy. This is how it helps me.
