Ricotta is definitely on my approved plan, but reduced fat. I'm not as big of a ricotta fan as cottage cheese. Have you tried ricotta bakes? I just found out about them.

Way to go! I'm only 6 months post op. I had gastric sleeve on Oct 29, 2020, but I've used MFP every day before and after surgery. I started at 265 pre op, 254on day of surgery. I'm down to 174 and still going, but I feel recording my food has been vital to that success. I am transitioning a bit to Baritastic app. But it's…

You're speaking my language @trishalong84! I grew up with cottage cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers. Do you use fat free cottage cheese or 2%?

Yippee, @amberellakaye! I had gastric sleeve 6 months ago and have been using MFP everyday since. It's been vital to me. It is difficult to find WLS groups I've found, so welcome to this group!

I wish the dieticians had given me better macro nutrient guidelines. I'm still struggling with max carbs, max fats, etc. I also wish I could have found a larger support group of those who had been through the surgery already. I'm finding it now, but it was hard not having people to talk to in the beginning.

Some of my habits I'm trying to develop are: 1. drink 70 - 80 oz water 2. eat 70 - 80 grams of protein 3. walk 20 - 30 minutes 4. use 5 lb arm weights 5. get 7 - 8 hours of sleep 6. eat every 2 - 3 hours within my meal plan I would be very interested to hear what others do?

I personally plan all my meals and snacks throughout the week. That way I can see in advance what's going to happen during the week. I can plan for the times I'm going to be at work or running errands and take portable food with me, as needed. And, I like to grocery shop ahead of time.

Bariatric Surgery changed my life for the better! It's not an easy path, but it has been so worth it!

Hello, I was 56 in October. Overweight nearly my entire adult life. I'm really looking forward to this group, and perhaps a few who would like to be a support and q/a MFP friend(s).
