  • I work overnight, and don't eat during that shift, so since dinner was about 8pm, at 3am when I go to do cardio, I'm decently fasted. Then, a like 8am I get to go to bed and I certainly notice how much easier it is to fall asleep after a good cardio session. I think I'm getting the best of both worlds here :]
  • It's really strange, I started drinking a lot more water when I started this weight loss journey..far more than before it..who knows? But water is good so maybe just rest easy?
  • Food scale ftw...I cant get over how quickly calories add up things as common as a spoon of peanut butter...that pb&j sammich might be only 400 calories...but it's also might be 800...ridiculous hahaha
  • Honestly I LOVE mio these days, to the point where I never crave soda (and it mtn dew used to be my biggest vice)...With Mio I can drink almost a gallon of water through the day, because I loveit. I'd highly recommend it, reminds me of the good ol' days drinking coolaid.
  • Well the machine tracks my heart rate, weight, and age...but it also gives far lower numbers than the MFP generalized calculators. Also, using my average heart rate in online calories by heart rate calculators, I get much higher calories burned than the machine says...so it's difficult to have any real idea.
  • Sincere response here...how is this relevant to my question?
  • Impatience..I don't consider that it took 10 years to put on my extra hundo, and then I get frustrated when, last week for example, i lose only a pound or so, compared to the 2 or 3 I hope for.
  • I think I will, but both are fairly flavor-less...imo
  • Honestly I just want my damn pants to stop falling down..I've come to realize that with how big I am, my back goes straight into my butt, with no curve to hold on to pants, so I'm constantly pulling them up...Can't wait :P
  • I've found that intermitten fasting is working really well for me. I work 11pm-7am, sleep 8am-3pm, then I eat from like 4-9pm. For whatever reason, I just don't get hungry during my night shift, even after 9 months of doing it.
  • Well I lost about 10lbs the first week (mostly water weight I'm sure), then about 6, then like 3, and I think this week maybe only 1? I might even gain? But I feel a little more energetic, and perform better in exercise every day, so I'm not gonna stress over it...also my bathroom visits are much more pleasant...so there's…
  • Yeaahh..I can live with 3 or 4 pieces against my 3500 TDEE, hahaha.
  • @ohmscheeks Right?! Tomorrow is my weigh in day, after that I've got a week to work off the water weight from all that salty goodness...I'm planning to eat a SOLID 1000 calories, kinda excited.
  • Yeah I need to eat more chicken thight, I love the taste, the greasyness, its so good just with some cracked pepper..and clearly I always have enough calories left over for it, haha. That's a good idea.
  • Hmmmm this gives me some really great suggestions. I really need to get more cottage cheese, but not the light or half whatever stuff, I like the full on 100%, maybe with pineapple!
  • Some great advice!
  • @Soopatt Hope so..and I think so. On the brighter side, I'm getting better and better in my exercise. Upped my half hour bike record from 7 to 7.33 miles! YASSS!
  • Thanks! that's the game plan!
  • I get their concern, really, I do. But I see super obese people going on 800 cals or less, and they lose weight and are overall much healthier. I'm double that most of the time, so I'm not worried about it. I just wish the same people would stop trying to convince me of their opinion. What I really wanted was to hear "Yeah…
  • I'll go talk to a doctor, get some blood work taken, its been about a decade since I had it done anyway, then I'll take that info to a nutrionist with these records, and should get a decent idea of what I need to do. This post isn't meant to stir up my caloric intake debate.
  • I get you, but don't be concerned, typical side effects of undereating or mal nutrition aren't things I've experienced..honestly I feel great, physically, my performance in exercise constantly improves and if anything I feel more energetic every day, taking on side projects where before I'd just put them off. My plan is to…
  • I eat peanut butter in my oatmeal almost every day, so now my idea of what 32g of PB is is damn near spot on..I put exactly half a serving on the knife both times for toast today hahaha. Good stuff.
  • :] Damnit scale, gimme my instant gratification!
  • Thanks everyone, what a great day :]
  • Thanks! <3
  • I heard something really cool which was "I hope to lose a pound during the week and only gain half a pound back during the weekend" Similar mentality I think :]

  • Would you not agree tho, that many people are far too forward with their "advise"? it's pretty demoralizing for people to textually laugh in your face. This is insane / OMG but why / decimating your LBM / It's ludicrous / This is such ***** / OP has lost his marbles Come on people, these forums are meant to educate and…
  • I've stopped weighing myself often, and that really helped me. I used to obsess over how much I'd lost, and it caused a little anxiety. Maybe track what you eat and such, and weigh in again in a month?
  • Wow this thread...but I'm at work and bored so, hey I'll take it. I don't understand why people are so worked up on this forums in regards to lower calorie food habbits (i hesitate to use the word "diet"). Call me cynical, but I doubt its because they care for you (random forum poster), and would like to steer you away…
