I love intermittent fasting...I've lost 130lb so far, and a large part of that has been waiting as late in the day as I can to eat..I stay busy and honestly don't think much of food till 3 or 4pm..then my 1300 calories [I eat only 1300 often] would be this: 5 servings of egg whites from a carton 2 servings of oatmeal and 2…

Last winter I didn't weigh myself or log food, and still lost a few pounds, I'll be alright =]

Maaann, in one day my weight will vary by 10lbs...get on my level. Kidding but really don't stress, bet money it's mostly just water retention.

A lot of people subconsciously move and burn less when they work out. Lot of studies have looked into this.

Yeah I originally started losing weight to keep the doc from putting me on bp meds..now I'm 125lb lighter and still the same bp...kinda sucks hahaha

125lb down, 1.5 years. I started by using this app and limiting calories..never a specific number, sometimes id eat 900cal in a day, sometimes 3000, but usually my week long daily average was like 1500-2000. I didn't exercise at all for the weight loss, but I do have a fairly active job. As far as what I eat..I batch cook…

I eat 2 servings of old fashioned oats basically every day, with 2 Splenda added. Takes 2 minutes, has 300 calories, keeps me full especially when I eat a few servings of egg whites on the side.

Every single day I think...dang, that's a good looking man. Also every single day I think ...man, I got a lot more work to do. Basically, I think my idea of what my body looks like varies depending on what completely irrelevant things/ feelings are happening at that moment..

Honestly ive never had a great "system". I dont exercise, I just log my food as accurately as I can. Sometimes I'll eat 2200 calories in a day, sometimes 900, but usually averaged out for the week i eat about 1600 calories a day. If i get unusually hungry, or have a social thing, I dont stress in the slightest about eating…

Wooootttt!!

Yeah it's homemade. Im just curious what is more accurate for 4oz of baked chicken breast in terms of calories.
-
30lb more to go, but I don't mind if it takes a couple years =P Thanks everyone for the kind words, glad some of you liked hearing my story!
-
Cheat days and cheat meals kept me sane when I first started, but I still always logged them..maybe 2 or 3 days a week I'd go over my calories a little.. 110lb lost so far? I have cheat months haha. During those times I don't log my food, and I just kinda watch what I eat but I also know weight loss is probably not going…

Eh, I don't exercise =P My job is outside, and fairly active (crawing beneath planes, dragging heavy hoses, etc) so I just don't do or log any excercising =)

You took some sting off the "oh god what have I done to my teeth" thoughts I was having..still need to look into it tho.
-
:dizzy: Considering my 1 post a month, my counter with "what a desperate troll you are" is probably more accurate. At this point I am curious about the teeth issue. Think I'll have to do some research if diet soda is terrible to teeth, because that's a problem I don' know of I can live with.

Hey man! Youre a dude, and about my age it looks like, so there's common ground there! I've also lost over 100lb this last year doing exactly what you've said you're gonna do so that's kickazz. I buy a bunch of uncle Bens 90 second rice, and a ton of microwaveable bags of veggies. That's my staple dinner, which I'll add…

My weight loss has involved weighing most of my food so I couldn't avoid telling all my friends and coworkers, and fending off bro-science and skepticism left and right hahaha. Basically, first day people were asking me wtf I was doin.

I love this thread.. Mac and Cheese Fried chicken Pizza Cheezburgers Lasagna Icecream

I go over all the time, but I've still lost 100lb..don't stress, just keep trying =)
-
The other day I ate mac and cheese with chicken and salsa added to it...was pretty damn epic.

1lb a week in a year is 52lb!! Keep it up!

I took 10 days in France..ate and drank as much as I wanted. Gained about 10lb but most of that was water, took me about two weeks on diet home to get back down to normal...moral of the story: worth if =)
-
100lb lost so far..0 exercise done, and 90% of my leisure time is spent sitting.. I do work a somewhat physical job tho.
-
Yeahhhh weighing my cinnamon toast crunch, or peanut butter for the first time was pretty depressing hahaha
-
I'm sure you're coming from a place of only good intent but I have some very different opinions. Being fat at 337lb wasn't a terrible thing..it had negative consequences but on the upside I got to eat what I wanted, when I wanted and had 0 stress over the food I was very much enjoying.. In the end, I'm very glad I lost the…

I felt the same way..I think for me it was switching from high calorie, low volume food to low calorie high volume food made me feel full a lot more often on far fewer cals...I could easily go a whole day under 1200 calories.. Now I struggle if I try less than 2000. Think it's the volume thing =)
-
Well..you can pretty easily lose water weight fast?? I doubt that's what you're going for tho so I'd suggest just accepting that any substantial weight loss is probably going to take months at least. After that, I'd suggest weighing/logging your food and staying up the calorie goals MFP gives you for about a month, see if…

100lb lost, been weighing logging, trying to stay under calorie goals by the week.. except for the times I dont.. Worked pretty well for me so far!

Hahaha so awesome =) wierdly, I'm not a fry kinda guy.. but I'll eat a frosty every meal if I could =P
