  • I've started to love weighing/logging food and meticulously planning my food for the day. Something about nailing my calorie intake down to maybe only 10% error feels awesome. This has helped me hugely in losing weight..imo, pick a calorie goal, whatever it is, and try that out for a few weeks...see if you lose weight? If…
  • Look I'm not saying my body is why I was so overweight, and I dang well know that the 100lb I've lost is my doing, not by body. But for arguments sake, you can very simply regulate the amount of food you eat..but your body has a fair amount control over the activity level you are..if you're in a somewhat aggressive…
  • I love Mio and sometimes a diet soda..lost 100lb so I don't think it's a big deal
  • Well I think there have been some valid points made both for and against the concept..personally I believe it's a thing, but a very little thing, and is 90% mental as opposed to physical.
  • I try to save like 200-300 calories a day, so that I can drink and eat heavily on the weekends...not saying it's the best way to go about things, but weekend socoal gatherings have kept me sane =)

  • Thanks all, and yeah most "cooked white rice" in the search is by the cup, but I only own a scale haha.
  • 2 days? I could do 2 hours, get on my level =P
  • Butter and salt/pepper does wonders for me!
  • Honestly, I've gotten lots of encouragement but almost no good tips, lol... people don't really know what they're talking about with weight loss and for me, it was just about trial and error.
  • Quitting mtn dew and calorie drinks for 2 weeks was my first step, and I lost 5-10lb from that alone..probably mostly water weight but it was still very encouraging at that time.
  • I've heard and read that 20g sugar from a high fiber source, like fruit, is better (than non-fiberous sugar sources) because it takes longer for our bodies to process the sugar with all the fiber surrounding it. Theoretically, processing the sugar more slowly will lessen the glycemic impact, ie. Lessening sugar high/crash…
  • Was 337 last June, now I'm right about 237..literally 0 additional exercise, 90% of my free time is spent sitting, I've lost everything by maintaining a calorie deficit. Not suggesting this approach, but just saying it's totally viable. Good luck!!
  • I don't think lazyness is the culprit..I've lost a lot of weight while doing 0 additional exercise..also 90% of my non-work time is spent sitting...ALSO, sometimes I'm too lazy to get up to eat, so if anything, lazyness has helped with weight loss.. My point is, weight isn't lost by exercising it away, it's lost by NOT…
  • Hmmm, well I was 337 and I kept my calories pretty low for the first few months..averaging like 1500 calories..this allowed me a lot of wiggle room with logging..if I forgot to log a banana or wasn't able to weigh my portion of peanut butter it wasnt going to break my diet. Worked pretty well for me, I've lost 100ish…
  • Hi I'm bike-curious and I need an accountabilibuddy too!
  • Let's see if this works? http://imgur.com/a/ha5Sp That whole 3 course meal with a bottle of wine and some unknown liquor drinks was 50euro for the two of us..hahaha was so perfect.
  • Update..been walking all over this entire town, just finishing going up and down the eiffel tower..I dunno, I think I'm still in a caloric deficit hahaha.
  • I didnt binge my way to 340lb..I drank a lot of soda and gained the weight over about a decade
  • I've lost almost exactly 100lb since June..it's been a long, pain the in butt journey but well worth it.. Stick to your calorie deficit, but don't obsess over it, or the scale and I bet you'll be looking back on your 100lb loss in not time =)
  • Thanks for the advice! Gonna have a kick *kitten* time!
  • Today I have pre logged 2 bananas, 2 reeces cups, and a rolos bar..that's like 90 grams of sugar..probably not the best for me, certainly not the most filling calories I could eat but.. it keeps me sane and on my diet ..so it's ok, imo =)
  • Thanks for the synopsis..it's so true, and frustrating how we really don't know how many calories we're burning, or even how many we're eating.. But the fact is, this is a huge, really long, tedium game of trial and error...you have to try your new system for weeks or months just to see if it even works.. With all that…
  • I literally don't give a hoot what I eat, only how many calories..for weight loss purposes, it seems to be doin the trick to eat what I want as long as I'm in a deficit
  • I have a hard time snacking, it's never enough to make me feel "not hungry" so I often try to stick with 2 - 3 large, filling meals thru the day
  • Well..I just kinda follow my stomach..if I'm a little extra hungry, I eat more calories than usual that day.. If I get full on less food, I'm not gonna go looking for food to fill a somewhat arbitrary number.. Lastly, if you do want to stick to hitting your number, it's really easy to make up the difference of a few…
  • I get that crap all the time at work..people see me eating "clean" foods so often that when I do have mac n cheese or reeces or whatever, they give me sht, and say I'm being bad..dude, back off, I lost this weight by myself, and I don't need your opinions lol.
  • My relationships have never helped or hurt my weight loss..but my weight loss certainly has changed my relationships.
  • Whoa! Awesome job!
