Sodium is only "really" a problem if you have been medically advised to keep to a certain limit. The only non-medical "downside" to high sodium is it causes higher water retention, which can mask weightloss.

It's fairly natural to feel sleepy after exercise, as it's a big burn of energy and then can put you into a "relaxation" mode. What time of day are you going? If you are going in the evenings, it isn't a bad thing.

Log exactly how you eat. You can rename the segments in the diary to make it more fitting - a lot of nightshift workers name their eg. 12am - 4am, 4am-8am etc.

Nope. A kilo of lettuce vs a kilo of red meat will both weigh a kilo. What makes the difference is the calorie density.

It sounds like you need to calorie count eating what you're used to, but less (aka, not keto which is a massive change) AND do some meal prep. That first two weeks is much easier when your only thought has to be to grab a pre-portioned and counted meal from the freezer and chuck it in the microwave. I found working on one…

Women should lift heavy, but you must treat the weights as if they were a basalisk - no direct eye contact, as that is what causes a woman to instantly supah-bulky. Always use mirrors or through lenses and you'll be safe, otherwise stick to the safe cardio zone, as the supah-bulky virus flees from that area. I saw a woman…

Your diary isn't viewable, but I don't think it will help much. My guess would probably be period/hormone-related hunger, that can be a *kitten*. Try eating at maintenance for a couple of days and see how you go.

For my first (successful) attempt at losing weight, the hardest part was getting others to accept that I had made a lifestyle change and getting used to comments. Then I did my first bulk and gained half of it back (Deliberate). Now i'm on my first cut (second attempt at losing weight), i'm struggling with the scales not…

I haven't tried it, and everyone has different reactions to any type of drug, so my experiences would not neccesarily mean you would have the same. It's important to remember any time you use an aid for weightloss that isn't 100% your own determination, you risk failure once you come off. It doesn't mean that you will…

You can only drink it if you are having it with an orde of a triple cheeseburger meal deal with a large Sunday and a second helping of fries. Love me some Pepsi max, sugary drink without the calories - stopped me from getting a chocolate bar instead. It was purely the cost that stopped that habit.

I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners, but only because for the majority of them, I can tell they aren't real sugar and taste different to me. Instead, I slowly dropped the amount of sugar I was adding to my tea/coffee and now it doesn't hurt at all to add my 1 sugar sachet into my black tea/coffee. You won't know how you…

How are you logging your calories? Anyone who is on here to lose weight that is not already underweight should not have an issue with meeting 1200 calories - infact it should be at least a little difficult to not go over.

As someone who works in a place that serves food, I feel sorry for people who make it very clear that they don't want to eat what they are ordering but only doing it as it's "healthy" and/or they are "dieting". Even something like plain chicken breast and vegetables are much, much higher in calories than you would expect.…

The steps really isn't a critical thing if you are getting other excercise - it's really just a tool/an easy way to encourage people to get more active and is a nice "goal" for people to target. For example, I go for a walk at lunch and whilst I don't care about or often hit step goals, I go to the gym and lift weights…

Skipping breakfast is only harmful if you are then so hungry you eat a pack of biscuits to make up for it. I generally don't get hungry before 12, so if i'm not hungry, why would I eat? I'd rather add those calories to dinner or a late snack.

Portion tips for someone who doesn't have access to a scale... get a scale. Your calorie estimate is probably wildly off and that's why you aren't seeing the results you are expecting. The 1380 is a goal, not a limit. Get a scale, log accurately and eat your goal (don't be under) And lastly, a gain of 3-4lbs is within…

In my opinion, yo-yo-ing is more the process of going from extreme "dieting" to normal eating patters and back again, over and over (usually based on unmaintainable eating plans or fads). 6lbs is within normal fluctuation range - I would't call it yo-yoing.

Eat like you normally would, but just at the new times. Your body will take some time getting used to eating when you are normally asleep but once you have adjusted, it shouldn't matter what time of day it is.

DoTerra is your typical pyramid sales scheme - like tupperware. They are overpriced and try and claim miracle benefits with little to no medical support or research. Your metabolism is the rate of which your body burns fuel to keep you alive - like how cars get different mileage. Essential oils would not have a noticeable…

Hmm solid plan - gonna go get a couple kilos of the stuff as obviously my stuff is defective as i'm not the hulk :(

Goddammit, i'm usually good at spotting necros :( Does make me wonder how OP is going though.

Well then what's the problem? If you gain muscle you will gain weight. If you lose fat you will lose weight. You are probably losing enough fat to cover the muscle gains which is showing up as a stall on the scale. Increased exercise (even ontop of a busy/active life on the slopes) will cause water retention for muscle…

For me, I love my preworkout. As someone who gets up early (after late nights juggling a second job and university) and goes to the gym before work, i'm a zombie without it. Placebo or not, my workouts are better quality with it and having it puts me in the right mindframe to get in the gym - just like you associate…

Not too familiar with Jamba Juice but it would be the same as all juices - not as healthy as many people believe. Most juice has little to no pulp, which is where the majority of the benefits from fruit lie. Wheat grass or protein powder will change the taste and won't make it too much better. But if you want to spend your…

Honestly, if it was a once-off and you are otherwise logging right, losing weight at your desired rate, then it's not the end of the world. When I meal prep I am constantly tasting the meals to make sure I don't end up with a months worth of underseasoned crap food. The problem with tastes and nibbles comes when they…

Assuming you are weighing, logging, using accurate entries etc... I would say it's water retention from the exercise at the gym. Your body holds water for muscle repair which can artificially inflate the scale. I'm stuck in the same spot too, doing exactly the same as I did to lose 12kg previously and now that I'm doing my…

Binging on food to the point of being physically uncomfortable or sick will not be helped by an appetite suppressant. If you don't already stop at "ok I'm not hungry anymore", why would medication designed to get you to the "ok I'm not hungry anymore" help the situation? I'd be skipping the dietician and seeing a…

I work two jobs, study at university and go to the gym. I understand the struggle! Every couple of weeks I take a couple of hours and bulk prepare meals in advance and freeze into daily portions - every day I get out my meals and by lunchtime/dinner they are defrosted. My mantra is, if I can't freeze it, I can't be…

As far as i'm concerned, I'll microwave whatever I like. What smells bad to me might smell good to someone else and vice versa. The smell goes away quickly anyway. I'm also not keen to comment on what people are eating as I don't know why they are eating that. Perhaps the cheap fish fillets were all they could afford to…

You are using a lot of generic entries, eg. 1 egg. Get a food scale and use better entries to get a better idea of where you actually are. Personally, I don't worry about getting the macros perfect. Macros are adjustable depending on your goals so why should I worry if i'm 8g under but still getting the minimums? My advice…
