Green salad topped with chicken from a store-bought rotisserie chicken. Quick, easy and no hassle. Summer is a great time for salads that incorporate protein and healthy carbs. Add cucumbers, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms or whatever you like. I keep condiments such as olives and jalepenos on hand to make it interesting. I…

5'3 and looking to get to 135. Started at 175, now at 161. I would love to go back to 120 as I was in my youth, but at 60 years old, that's not realistic.

Don't laugh: I watch Rocky (the movie) or Mr. Mom - the part where he's gets his mojo back

I think that any activity that gets you moving is going to be beneficial. I was a swimmer all of my life, growing up in Texas and Louisiana, and I was lean and mean until life got into the way of my swimming habit.

I really like Terra's grass fed whey - it's organic and tastes great.

p.s. I've lost 14 lbs in the last 2 months! Prayer also helps

I was recently in the same position as you. Low motivation and very low energy. I recently started walking again, and thankfully my energy has started to come back, little by little. That helps tremendously with my attitude and motivation. Being on MFP helps so very much!! Also watch the Rocky movie (cue motivational music…

Ditto. Try adding more protein and avoiding processed carbs, especially for breakfast. Best to you!

You may just be low in potassium. Eat some bananas

Hating exercise (sigh). But I have found some activities I like. Mainly walking in the early morning  I also have a habit of snacking while I read a book. Bad habit, but I have figured out strategies around it.

Great idea!

And star the discussion. Good luck to everyone! No more midnight Haagen Daz !

I'm in. I've shifted more calories to lunchtime. That really seems to help with LNS cravings! I still save a few calories for a (tiny) after dinner treat, such as a couple of strawberries.

Try adding to oatmeal with or without peanut butter. Try adding frozen cherries or strawberries to a smoothie. Try baby spinach and frozen mango in a smoothie with cinnamon. Just loosen up these two smoothies in the blender with a little water or orange juice without the almond milk. Or get some cocoa powder and make it…

Also be sure to load up on green veggies! Sometimes I feel like I'm going to turn into a zucchini, but it really works. I go thru those big clamshell boxes of lettuce like crazy. And your skin will thank you

Try adding protein, especially to breakfast. I have a boiled or scrambled egg plus a small cup of oats with blueberries and walnuts plus coffee. Try limiting sugar, simple carbs and starches, for most people that triggers hunger. Be sure to be active. For me walking seems to suppress cravings. Be sure to drink water.…

Last pregnancy at age 37, moving from TX to a cold climate where I was way less active, going thru a divorce and then the stress of raising three teenagers alone. But now I'm back in the game! Woo hoo!

My painful periods stopped when I started getting enough protein, B vitamins and calcium. In my 20's I began doing protein shakes and taking vitamin supplements. It totally changed my cycle, for the good. I would look first to nutrient deficiencies, and try to boost your protein and other nutrients. If you are vegan, you…

Steel cut or old-fashioned oats. After cooking, stir in oat bran, ground chia and frozen blueberries. (The hot oats melt the blueberries and sweetens it) Top with milk of your choice and walnuts or pecans. Super healthy and holds you for hours!

I really like Terra's grass fed whey.

Hi, everyone --- 60 years old and finding it much more difficult to exercise and lose weight. It just isn't happening like it used to. But MFP plus walking has made all the difference for me. I lost ~45 lbs 15 years ago, but with a recent move back to TX I regained around 25 lbs. Great Mexican food and Blue Bell ice cream!…
