Seems like you went from 116 in December to 107 in March ... So clearly you are losing weight. ETA: +1 for the link @queenliz99 suggested

You'll be absolutely fine. One day doesn't matter at all in the big scheme of things. You may see some temporary water weight but it will go away. Keep in mind that one pound is approximately 3500 calories. Let's say everything you ate added up to 3500 cals - you still wouldn't have even gained a pound because your body…

^^^ +1. Listen to @jemhh as she is wonderfully wise!

I find walking does wonders for my mood. If ever I'm feeling really down or low, I try to get out of the house for even just a 10 or 15 minute walk. It really does wonders!

Those kinds of scales are notoriously inaccurate. Some people say you can use them to see a trend, but even then my understanding is that it is skewed so much by water that it can vary dramatically. My advice would be to ignore the number completely and lift heavy while eating at a moderate deficit. That way you can…

The thing is, there is no such thing as "toning". When most people say that they want to "tone up", what they usually mean is they want to have a lower body fat percentage and have some slightly visible muscles but not be "bulky". This pretty much comes down to body fat percentage. However, many people find that when they…

There's no way you're going to get any sort of buff looking while eating 1200 calories and doing mostly yoga and cardio.

Over the day as you get more steps, that negative calorie adjustment will diminish. Essentially it means that if you woke up that day and did nothing else but lay in bed, that's how many calories you could eat. Fitbit estimates your daily burns based on your current activity level - which if you were sleeping, is nothing.…

Find something you like to do and do it. There is no secret. If you're motivated enough, you'll go! And in time, once you've created a routine, it'll get easier.

Firstly, any scale that measures body fat percentage is bound to be wildly inaccurate. So that's a bit of a red flag to me if she was portraying it as necessarily accurate. How did you win the session and where is the dietician? I'm from Ottawa and my ex was diabetic, but she had a dietician through the hospital as part of…

I can't pick a favourite - I love every kind of pie. My friends and I used to have a pie club where we got together to bake a different pie every month :)

Don't quote me on this (and I will try to dig up the source in a peer-reviewed article if I remember when I get home) but I think that on average, it's only about a 4% increase of your BMR during your luteal cycle. A 4% Increase for me works out to be an extra 55 cals or so a day. So I guess it could be 300 cals or so…

I think that as long as you're eating at a reasonable deficit (but also enough to fuel your body) - then you're on the right track. In my experience, there's really no way to "fast track"anything with weight loss, and especially not the last part. I feel like it's taken me forever to lose 10 lbs because I didn't have much…

Thanks everyone. This is one of those situations where I knew what was best but needed to hear it from someone else (or six)! Hope you all have a great night.

Do you still have your receipt for your Fitbit? I have heard that their customer support is really good and quite generous with issuing replacements, even if it's not an issue with the Fitbit. Someone on here got a replacement because her puppy chewed on her Charge HR. Why not try contacting them - worth a shot, right?

Based on your question, I'm assuming at you are a beginner lifter. Is that true? If so, split routines are usually used for more intermediate level lifters and complete body routines with compound movements are recommended for beginners. Have a look into: StrongLifts 5x5, New Rules of Lifting for Women, Strong Curves or…

You look amazing!! Congrats on all of your well deserved success.

I am 5'4.5, currently at 134ish and aiming for somewhere in between 121 and 127. I'll see when I get there!

This also happened to me today for the first time! Glad to know that I didn't mess something up somehow.

I have weighted hula hoops and have a lot of fun with them. It can be a great workout! If you end up wanting to use a weighted one (I think mine are 5 and 10lbs), keep in mind that you will probably see some bruising around your hips at first. Take it slow and ease in :)

What do you have your activity level set to? If you have it set very high, you may not actually be burning that many calories - and the vivofit adjustment is because of this. Also, you can try unlinking MFP from your Garmin and then rejoining them. I was having some issues with my Fitbit and that did the trick. If you're…

This is the best thread! For me, happy foods are burritos, warm bread, falafel shawarma with potatoes and garlic sauce, and Thai green curry. (Hmm, can you tell I like carbs? :) )

You are a total babe!! Congrats on all of your amazing work :)

Mmmm this looks so good! I don't eat fish but I'm sure tempeh would be a great protein sub. I'll try it and let you know! Thanks for sharing :)

I second the Happy Herbivores group! I also just wanted to chime in and ask why you are eating 1200 calories. This is really only necessary for extremely short and/or older women. I tried it for a while and was miserable. I see so many people on here making the mistake that I did - thinking that you have to eat 1200…

You are brilliant.

This sounds weird but have you ever had smoked tofu? It is one of my faves. I often eat it with cucumber or with crackers (although you'd need to use gf crackers).

I got home from work really late so I needed something fast. So I made chocolate protein "nice cream" with a frozen banana, topped with fresh strawberries, and served in a waffle cone bowl. (Hey, I was low on fat for the day! Hahah)

I'm not really much help with regards to your original question - but these look deeeelish and I've never seen anything like them in the stores here (Canada)! I might check out some of my local Asian grocers though because I'd love to try these. Hope you enjoyed them :)

I am a vegan and my long-term partner is an omnivore. In fact, he loves meat. He doesn't just like it - he loves it. And cheese. And eggs. There was a period of time when we first started dating that people would ask me if I was hoping/thinking/trying to get him to "go vegan". My response has always been no. From my…
