I buy organic produce not soo much for the pesticides, "organic is not 100% pesticide free" but more for the taste. Once you have cleaned your diet off processed foods your tastebuds are more sensitive to sugar, sodium etc... To me organic produce, meat just taste better! Such great ideas, I do like eating crunchy stuff, so the carrots and peas are awesome ideas. The smoothie sounds delicious!!!! I am definitely trying that.... Thanks so much for the ideas. I felt stuck! I am really trying to lead my family to healthy eating.

I really tried to eat the dr Furhman's diet plan and felt great but I kept on craving meat. I still think it is a sensible diet plan but with modifications.

Is this group still on because I am a working mom struggling with guilt of working out and spending time with the family. I finally put my Foot down in June and I am slowly getting there. It doesn't help the guilt though...

I am breastfeeding too but I waited to diet (calorie count) until my son was 19 months. When I was super anxious about my weight (when he was 9 months old), I noticed that my milk supply dropped considerably. I gave up and concentrated on nourishing and feeding my son. I would wait till he/she starts solids.
