Bad days where i can eat say 2000 calories usually this is a weekend, when im not working.

It may be that I have used an unreliable source to get this figure, do you have recommendations for a good one? or how many calories you think I should eat to ditch the body fat?

I want leaner muscles so smaller really id guess, I need to loose the excess body fate around them too but my legs and shoulders are really muscley and just bulk up more.

Its was MFP that recommended 1200 calories a day, so I just went along with that. I do mostly strength training and lifting in the gym only do cardio as a warm up.

I am a mesomorph body type so build muscle rather easily and after 20 years of dancing I am rather muscley however I want to slim down some muscle instead of being as bulky and also need to loose some body fat. I lift regularly in the gym but I seem to just bulk up more :/

You can say Im wrong everyone is entitled to there opinions although I have been told this from personal trainers and medical professionals.

This post has just helped me so much! As I keep punishing myself for having a treat and feeling so guilty. And Also forcing myself to go and workout every day. Now after reading this I realise I am pressuring myself too much.

muscle weighs heavier than fat, so you could be just turning fat into muscle which is why the scales going up, but turning fat into muscle will make you look slimmer as muscle takes up less space in the body than fat.
