Hi all, I'm late at finding this thread as I have made my plan to start losing weight from tomorrow. I'm 58 and only 5' 2" but now weigh 10 stone 10lbs after bad eating over six months. Time for me to get back on track. Wish me luck xx

I do FIT training. My aim is to lose body fat so I'm also doing 5:2 with FIT 3 times a week preferably while I'm in a fast state.

Give 5:2 a try and that way you can still have your glass of wine but only on the 5 non fast days :-)

I'm with what diannethegeek said all the way. It's best to go low carb as carbs fill you up for a very short time, so eat more protein and veggies for fibre, chew gum, brush your teeth and fill up on lots of calorie-free fluids , water being the best. I will be 55 this year and I am 5 weeks into the 5:2 diet. I am not overweight but have tummy fat that needs to go and I know the benefits of intermittent fasting will do me good
