i had this problem of always being hungry. now i take a vitamin and i also started drinking muscle milk as a snack (1scoop,150 cal) it helps my chocolate cravings, it satisfies my hunger. and helps me eat less later. I struggled to drop pounds and once i started drinking muscle milk i finally lost 5 lbs.

i like to be able to push my body and i love the soreness feeling. when i'm sore i know i did something right. with cardio i cant seem to get my mind off the time, i gasp for air tho i'm getting better. I should be more clear tho. i LOVE biking OUTSIDE. i should avoid the cardio at the gym and live on a bike haha. I'm…

My main goal is to a healthy weight/healthy body fat % (i have a scale that measures it) I also want to be fit. i think i'd be happier if i was fit than if i was just skinny with no muscle.

I think i have quite a bit of muscle under this layer of fat. i know girls that are my weight and they look a lot heavier than me... i wonder what i'd look like if i burned all this fat off haha. I can do 190 on the leg press and I'm going to try and increase the weight. i cant remember what this machine is called but you…

funny i love the weight training part. i hate the cardio. haha

its like an extra bonus of calories burned! lol
-
yea I never took into consideration the calories i burn from weightlifting, i guess it would be an extra bonus It's good to see i'm not the ONLY one doing both lol. idk i feel like they just go hand in hand. Cardio speeds up your metabolism for the day and weightlifting can speed it up long after.

I've been saying this a lot on everyones post but strength training will help speed up your metabolism. muscle burns calories at rest. if you gain some muscle you will beable to increase your caloric intake and still lose weight.

ive been going to the gym since october and just seeing results now. previously when i was in college i was going to the gym 5 days a week for a year and dropped only 5 lbs. (may have been putting on muscle mass, when i stopped because I broke my ankle i got "fluffier" and stayed a similiar weight) Exercising is not just…

if there a reason why your activity level is low? try going to a walk or the gym. you can always put the treadmill on an incline burn some extra calories. Get that heart rate up! Also try some strength training. You wont bulk up but you will build muscle and muscle helps burn more calories at rest and speed up your…

your pores are probably clogged and the sweating from working out is making it worse. i have acne and i use acne.org products. they work amazingly. try using a scrub that has Salicylic Acid in it to unclog the pores. or if you have those red bumps try using something with benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria

i drink a protein shake as a snack. I never thought it would satisfy my hunger but it does. its 150 calories with 16 grams of protein. (muscle milk, 1 scoop) you can always try that. Ive been working out and eating healthier since october but in january or febuary i started drinking muscle milk and i guess the protein just…

I don't think it matters to much, but i heard if you have a heavier meal earlier in the day it helps you eat less later on. Might be a myth

my goal is 60lbs. and i know what you mean about keeping weight loss private. I'm the exact same way. tho everyone in my life knows im eating healthier and going to the gym. i just dont like it when people in my life will judge me on something i ate that day. or tell me what to do. it has the reverse effect. But…

Start weight training. the more muscle you build, the more calories you will burn at rest. it will help jump start your metabolism. Remember building muscle takes time! and don't worry you wont bulk lol
-
I'm omw to the gym now. I do both, cardio burns those calories and speed up your metabosm Now. but I want long term results. Strength training will build muscle and you will burn more calories at rest.... Basically it speeds up your metabolism.
-
Add me too! I'n 25 years old 215 lbs, i want to get down to 150!
-
try making a protein shake. and having that between breakfast and lunch and if you want an after dinner sweets, try making a frozen protein fruit bars. i would throw in a cup of berries with a scoop of protein, blend it and freeze it. they are pretty good. :)
-
Up your weights, make it where you are able to complete 10 full reps and complete 3 sets. If you arent sore the next day, its not working lol. the more muscle mass you have the more calories you will burn at rest. Also dont forget to do cardio.
-
Basically you need to burn more calories than you consume.
-
im 215, im 5'4. goal is to be 150. I'm adding the two of you :)
-
urg i know that feeling. I have arms that should be on someone double my size. sad thing is there's no real way to target them. I do cardio, watch what i eat and of course do a lot of weight training on them. hopefully they start to slim soon but im afraid it will be one of the last spots to slim down lol
-
Hey everyone, feel free to add me
-
Didn't hit the gym yet today but last night i did 10 min on the treadmill: 3mph and level 15 incline, 20 min on the arc trainer and then did weight training on my triceps chest and shoulders.
-
Hey good luck to you! i have about 50lbs i want to lose. Hopefully we stick to our goals! I'll add you as a friend :)

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE muscle milk. Why? because my @$$ can't handle real german chocolate cake and it curbs my sweet tooth. Also I'm hungry and it had protein and helps keep me full with out a ton of added calories/carbs

yea detoxing doesnt sound so great, the only thing you lose is water and nutrients you need. You are just hungry and binge after. if you want to clean out the gut eat spinach and drink water.
