Yes, ladies - we got this! Now I can't do running (balance issues) but I did get up yesterday walked into town - all around town a couple of times and then walked home again. I managed 2 1/2 hours yesterday and kept my speed up as much as possible throughout. I got home just as the humidity was starting to kick in as well.

That's great! Take it slowly at first and try not to over do it.

Enjoy your trip! Any loss is a good thing - even better when you can manage a loss when you've been ill. Way to go! Hope you have a great time and look forward to hearing about it when you return.

I love salads too and I think that's a wonderful idea! I just had the Zucchini Lasagna for lunch. It was delicious and even better I was able to give myself a very generous portion for 470 calories. NICE! I can honestly say, I didn't miss the pasta either. This recipe is a keeper and I will certainly make it again. I have…

Haha thanks ladies. ;)

You CAN do this. It was only a slight gain which is good, so now you can look back to see what you were doing when you were losing and make adjustments. ;)

Absolutely Mel! I think this is one of the most challenging for most of us. There can be a lot of pressure when you are at events like this to "try" everything on offer. Well done you.

You guys are making me hungry! LOL ;)

Sounds like a virus - feel better soon.

I notice now that I am consciously trying to drink more water how quickly I feel dehydrated. Yesterday, I went for a trip into Lincoln to watch a movie, (Jurassic World) and because I didn't want to be making too many toilet breaks, I didn't drink a lot. I certainly noticed how dehydrated I was when I got home and didn't…

Aww, bless you. Mosquitoes love me too, and I know when I get back they'll be having a feast on me again because I've been away for awhile. Sigh...
-
Erin, isn't it great to start feeling more energetic?
-
I can relate to the boobs before the belly - hahaha.
-
Good luck for tomorrow Ginette.
-
Erin way to go! That's a great loss! No wonder you're stoked. Keep it up!
-
It's an eye opener how much of an impact exercise can have on our food allowance isn't it? Glad to see you were still able to keep it within your allowance too.
-
I think that's a great idea, Ginette. And you're right, if having them at hand stops you munching on other stuff all the better I say.
-
Hahaha - where you live sounds lovely. I would love to live close by the beach and a park. I just love the water, something about it is so tranquil - soothing really. And it's a great way to encourage you to get out and get some exercise too in lovely surroundings! :)

I am not keen on eggplant myself but I did notice a zucchini lasagna recipe the other day. I am going to have to find it again and give that a try soon. If I find the recipe I'll provide a link for us.
-
Hahaha - you're right it all sounds yummy!
-
Haha good one Ginette! ;)

Hi Ginette, well we are close to 30 members now. If you'd like to do one more shout out and then close it down for awhile and see how many members remain active perhaps. I find that it starts more robust and then some start to taper off. What do you think and how can we help you / would you like help to manage this group?
-
Glad to hear you are feeling better. I had a wicked headache the other night - a real brute. I think it's the same thing. my body adjusting to a new way of eating and routine.
-
Feel better soon hun. It could be a combination of heat stroke and the mosquitoes because it sounded like you got feasted on. Sending a hug.

Morning all today is my WI day and I gathered my courage and stepped onto the scales first thing this morning. I am very happy to report another loss this week. I've lost 1.5 pounds. Yay! Here's to another good week ahead and watching the numbers head downwards on the scale. :)
-
That's excellent! I think these victories are just as good, if not better, than scale victories. :) Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you start to feel fitter, have more endurance and can fit back into smaller clothes? Way to go - you are doing great.
