I woke up to a message that I've logged for 100 days in a row today. Day 1 seems like yesterday. This works - keep at it.

I'm 52 - lost 20.2 lbs so far. At least 30 more to go. Love MFP. Add me too.

You have soooooo inspired me to weigh my food more. Just the other day I had an aha moment when I decided to weigh the cheese I was putting in a quesadilla. I could see it was a lot less than I had been eyeballing previously. Good for you and thanks !!!
-
I knew I lost it when my husband stole a piece of my cantaloupe and I turned on him and said "you did not just do that". Super mean. Like a crazy person. HAHAHAHAHA
-
Best feeling ever. Just happened to me the other day. I was walking around the mall with this "oh ya I belong here *kitten*" attitude. Just loving it. Haha lol.

At 20 lbs lost I gave all my plus size clothes to goodwill. I'm not going to worry about gaining it back because IM NOT GOING TO GAIN IT BACK LOL. Positive thinking all the way. Bought 1 black skirt for work and going to try to make it through the winter with 1 pair of leggings - should be at my goal by May. My husband has…

Haha. Omg 6 weeks would kill me lol. Great video. Wow. Definitely going to put that scale to use. I have recalculated my goal every couple of weeks and it reduces my calories by 10 each time. But hey guys - who cares as long as I can have that glass of wine.......lol.
-
I think I'm doing good and yes I have a scale but I'm definitely going to get more strict with the weighing. Sometimes I eyeball and I think I could do better. I over estimate calories and always pick the higher items in the data base and always have some left over calories at the end of the day. I log faithfully.

Thanks. Good article. I'm walking and I was swimming but it cooled off and I haven't swam in at least a week ....hmmmmm. I have a very active job so that's still the same. Just wondered about the wine. I'm still motivated and know if I stick with it I'll lose more eventually.
-
Major difference. Good for you !!!
-
Right now you have 1 problem. If you start overeating you'll have 2 problems. Now why would you want to do that lol.
-
Maybe you could research a few restaurants for some good choices so the next time he suggests a spontaneous dinner out you can recommend one of those places and you'll know what you can order there. This way it will be spontaneous but still "pre-determined" for you. I've checked out lots of places that we used to frequent…

Thanks for posting about it - it encourages anyone in a stall not to give up !!!
-
Ok good to know. I literally move non stop. So I think I'll stick with lightly active.
-
Ok thanks. That's what I've been working with and I've lost over 17 lbs but the last couple of weeks I didn't lose a full pound each week like I was before so I started thinking maybe I had overestimated my exercise level.
-
OP - I have lost 17.6 pounds since June and want to be 199 by mid Oct as well. I'm 207 right now. We can do it !!! From there I want to lose another 25 lbs or maybe more. Don't know yet - I'll decide when I get there.
-
Good point. I am definitely wrapping my head around this and just moving forward. It's not going to change my focus. Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words !!! I don't usually post and I almost didn't but now I'm glad I did.
-
I'll definitely shave my legs tomorrow. Lol
-
That would be me......I know...... Too much information.
-
No kidding Christine - I moved the scale all over the bathroom trying to get it to tell me something else. My husband is standing out side the door saying "well....well" as I'm moving the scale around saying "hang on - hand on". Lol. I'm laughing now.
-
Wow that's super cool. Puts it into perspective. Thx.
-
Yes you're right - I know I ate properly - so I feel confident it's just a glitch. Glad to hear it happens to everyone.
-
Sorry.....better now.
-
No Tom for me anymore. I'm 52. Whoooweeee. The best part of being in your 50 's. I think you're right and I'll just see a loss or bigger loss next week. You've all pumped me up. Thanks !!! I feel much bett
-
I'm trying for one pound a week too. Slow and steady. Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'll weigh every day until I see a change then go back to once a week. I admire the people who can keep their cool and weigh everyday lol. I think I would freak out if I saw my weight fluctuate like that.
-
Thanks. I told myself I wouldn't be discouraged if this ever happened but it was a little disappointing. I just love MFP and have found it so easy to do so I'm just going to keep at it until something gives. I have 50 lbs to lose so I'm not anywhere near finished.
-
I have a fudge bar every night - 80 calories - of pure chocolate bliss.
-
Thanks so much. I did use MFP to set my goal and I am updating my weight and tracking everything I eat daily. It hasn't updated me yet but I've only lost 14 lbs so far. This makes perfect sense and answers my question. I will watch for MFP to make the adjustment.

Ok thanks. I thought maybe I was just suppose to put it down 10 lbs at a time and it would change how many calories I could consume. I guess if I stop losing I can re assess at that time. So far I've lost at least a pound a week which is my goal. Sometimes a pound and a half or even 2.
