I've lost 50 lbs and had wine most days during the past year.

If you like ranch this ones the best !!!
-
This happened to me a couple of times. I did a 12 day stretch with no loss and had a sudden 2 lb loss both times which put me right where I would have been at a pound a week.

Homemade pizza is the way to go. You control the calories and the sodium is soooo much better. A lot of stores sell homemade dough now - makes it easy - just top it and bake.

I'm 52 and I've lost 39 lbs. I lose consistently when I log carefully and less when I get loosy goosy. I find there's just no room to get lazy with logging.

80 calorie fudge bar. Hmmm hmmm. Does it for me.
-
Good for you !!! Yes shopping is a whole new experience when you can go in any store.

I'm 5'8.5" and I've lost 36 lbs eating 1650 a day. 1 lb per week. It's working because I don't feel deprived.

I'm 52 - feel free to friend me. I've lost 35.8 lbs since June. MFP is the best thing that's happened to me. Stick with it and you'll achieve your goal.
-
I eat dinner at 8 every night. I've lost 36 pounds. My goal is s pound a week and I've lost a pound a week.
-
What a great story. I tried on bathing suits today....ugh.....you've reminded me to celebrate the 36 lbs I've lost and feel good about that instead of feeling down (like I was) because I'm not exactly the way I want to look yet.

Honey mustard vinegerrette. 2 tbsp Dijon mustard - 2 tbsp honey - 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Whisk in oil (around 3/4 cup) to taste. 1 tsp salt.

I have very similar stats to you. So exciting to shop at "normal" size stores. It's so much more fun !!! Good for you !!!

Ok makes sense. I just notice some ppl get really heated on these threads - and insist it's all very simple CICO - which it is in a way - but I think maybe ppl reading get confused as there seems to be these variables. So it may come off discouraging to those wondering why they haven't lost when they are convinced they've…
-
Ok so I believe in CICO - I've lost 33 lbs and I'm sold. But I do wonder sometimes why some weeks I don't lose weight then others I lose more than usual. My diet is much the same all the time - I log super carefully and weigh my food. If it's all CICO - then every 3500 calories down should result in a lb lost. Then I hear…

My doc says 3 mos to see changes.

Look at it this way - a year is going to go by regardless of what you do - at the end of the year you can be right where you are right now - or you can be significantly smaller. I started in June - down 32 lbs now - feeling so much better. By the time I reach 1 year I should be 50 lbs lighter. Am I glad I hung in there -…

I've already decided to eat at maintenance for 2 weeks through Christmas. I feel I'll do better with a plan and I'm still going to log.
-
Awesome. Truly inspiring. You should be so proud.

Was pre diabetic and now in the normal range. Started in June. My doc is super happy with me. Lol.
-
That sounds like lightly active or more to me.
-
I'm exactly like you. Have you tried 1 Splenda with 1 real sugar. This worked for me.
-
Some days are just hungry days. I'm usually fine but once in awhile I just feel hungry all day. I just try small healthy snacks and try to push through it and the next day I'm fine.
-
Coffee works for me.
-
Btw - I didn't eat any special foods or eliminate anything. I definitely reduced some foods to lose weight but I eat everything - just in moderation and smaller portions. I stay within my calorie goal.
-
You can do this. I started in June because my A1C number came in high. I've lost 22.4 lbs since then with MFP. I just had my blood re tested and saw my Dr yesterday for a 3 month check in. My A1C number is now within the normal range. No diabetes and no medication for me !!! I was so ecstatic. This was the catalyst that…

Keep on keeping on. Think of how fast time flies. If you keep at it you will lose those pounds and you will be so happy you stuck with it. I've lost 22 pounds and saw NOTHING until about 20 and then suddenly I did. You may be right around the corner to notice a change.

This exact thing just happened to me. Went no prob from 225 to 205 then nothing - 16 days. Finally dropped 2.2 pounds ( so really still ended up losing my pound a week). I tightened up my logging - weighed my food as much as possible - and I think I had retained water due to a salty Chinese takeaway. Stuck with it and I'm…
