I have been lifting for about 6 weeks now and have lost 6kgs. I count calories and average about 1700. The first 3weeks the scale moved minimally. Then I had a 2kg woosh and the weight has been coming off at roughly 1kg a week since.

I have a holiday to the gold coast in novemeber visiting the theme parks and I don't want to be too big to fit in the seats of the rides. That has really encouraged me. Plus I wouldn't have seen my sisters in over a year so I want to show them a big transformation.

I am ecstatic. It has given me quite a boost haha

Weighed myself today and I am down 1.5kg since Thursday :)

I practise IF but not for any specific benefit. I just find it easier to keep a deficit when I only eat two meals a day. I like big meals so this well for me. I have never really been a breakfast eater anyway.

Awesome. Thanks for your input. I should also mention it is that time of the month so that probably didn't help.
-
Thank you :) I don't plan on stopping and I do know its normal. I was just curious because I have read any where from 2 weeks to 6 weeks before the scale moves. So I am happy to wait if it takes 6 weeks I kind of hope it doesn't haha

My weight has stalled for about 2 weeks. I started lightly training about 4 weeks ago but have started going a lot heavier and harder the last two weeks. Even more so this last week.

On the link you provided the 257calories is only accounting for 100grams of a big mac. Big macs are much larger then 100 grams. It will easily be 540 calories.

Oh I also forgot to mention they also use evidence based practises and are taught to critally think and research peer reviewed findings.

I just wanted to clarify that nurse practitioners are not alternative practitioners. They are quailfied registered nurses who have completed a masters degree. This gives them the limited ability to diagnose conditions and prescribe a limited amount of medications.

I have tired so many over the years and never lost weight. I have previously lost 50kgs with a starvation diet that transitioned into an undiagnosed eating disorder. It was kind of strange. All my life I had been told to eat less and then I was being begged to eat. I ending up gaining all the weight back after my life…

I do 19/5, 20/4 depends on the day. I have been trying all different things to see what fits best with me and small meals through out the day don't work with me. I am a feaster.I love big meals and I found the easiest way to do this is by fasting.

Thanks everyone for replying. Do any of you plan your meals for the week? I have good intentions to but I suck at planning anything haha
-
Thank you for your reply. I have been counting calories on here on and off since july and just can't seem to stick with it. I am quite lazy about it sadly. I really do want to do better with it because I have gained about 3 kgs since the.n. and nearly 20kgs since I fell pregnant early last year so I know this weight is all…

Yeah it is. I think the first doctor though it was sweat rash but because nothibg was working and it is was getting worse the second doctor didnt agree. I'm not in the US but we do have aloe vera around these parts too. I might head done to the chemist and get some to see how it works.

Haha thank you middlehaitch. I will need all the help I can get in that department! Armylife no I haven't been to a dermatologist. I don't have the money to see one and I don't have a referral to see a public one sadly. It does seem to be clearing up since I put a thick layer of sudocream on there. That has helped so much…
-
Thank you everyone for your tips. I will be using all of them! I also have noticed that the eating more has correlated with me starting cortisone tablets for a rash, so that may also be a contributing factor. Also liftingforlis I do use a food scale.

Well thats the thing. They haven't given me a diagnosis because they don't know what it is. My assumption that it isn't contagious is because neither my kids nor partner have caught it. I think I'll skip out on the gym until it heals anyway because it seems to get aggravated by the sweating and rubbing.

That is a good idea seska422.
-
Thank you for the tips. Yes I have seen the percentage thing and alot of my calories go into snacks as well.
-
I do believe it is more boredom eating because I am a stay at home mum and I am constantly in my kitchen preparing meals and snacks for my kids so I'll eat a biscuit or some chocolate. The weird thing is that it's not like I don't realise I am doing it, I know I am but my head just goes "oh one won't hurt". I do use a food…

When I was a teenager I went on a really restrictive 'diet' which ended in a eating disorder. I lost 120 pounds in 6 months.
-
Yeah I don't think the body weight ×12 would work for me either. That would have my calories at roughly 2800 when most say my maintenance calories are 2300. So i would be 500 calories over what most calculations give me.
-
I am on 1780 calories a day. I usually skip breakfast, have 400 calories for lunch, 300 calorie snacks distributed over 5 hours and about 1000 calories for dinner. This makes me happy and I don't every feel deprived. I love eating a huge dinner haha.
-
Although not after 6pm because i have dinner closer to 5:30 an average of 70% of my calories are from that meal. I deal better not eating breaky, having a small lunch and then a huge dinner. I feel more content.
-
I have about 52 kgs to lose i think thats around 100-120pounds and I am aiming for a loss of 0.75kgs a week. If Im going to lose weight i dont want to suffer. I know it will take a long time but time is going to go by any way. If i restricted anymore i know i wouldnt stick with it.

I found putting baking powder in helped with make it fluffier and more pancake like rather then a banana omelette haha.

Mine is a growling stomach with what feels like something stuck in my throat. I generally am not phased by it. If I have been eating a lot of carbs and added sugar I get a feeling of low blood sugar, shakes, weakness, tired etc.
