  • Hah, I also have mayo in the fridge to use up. I am planning to make a chocolate cake with it and serve it sometime when I am having friends over, using a recipe similar to this one. For salads, you don't need to buy a lot of vegetables. Just lettuce or other greens, a tomato or two, and a good dressing is enough.
  • I had my weight stuck for more than 3 months at one point, while working pretty hard to exercise and log consistently, but was getting smaller and had to go buy new jeans twice. Eventually started losing again. I would just keep doing what you are doing.
  • I've finished the month short of my goal of 250 km, but am happy to have made it over the 200 mark and had a good finish with a 15 k run yesterday. Thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement everyone.
  • Well, I missed being in the prizes at the fourth phase of the indoor marathon at the gym because it rained like crazy on Monday and I didn't make it in...did 30k in total yesterday and today though. @skippygirlsmom The indoor marathon is a treadmill based competition, we scan a QR code and an app keeps track of our…
  • The fourth phase of our indoor marathon at the gym is ON - the first ten people to make it to 70K will get some pretty nice prizes, so that is my motivation for the next few days! I got about 13k in today, will go all out tomorrow, Mon, and hope to finish on Tues!
  • Another 12 K today, feet hurting a bit...got past the 100k mark for the month!
  • Got to gym, put in some slow k's.
  • Back at it today, also did a Body Pump class, oof - shaking afterwards. Anyway tomorrow is another rest day, then will try for 10-15 k a day again starting Monday!
  • Grouse Grind would be a pretty good workout. If you are nervous about going alone stick to Stanley Park.
  • Ninth straight day at the gym today, took it easy walking pace mostly. Will rest tomorrow and then get back into it on Saturday. Up to 71.7 K this month now, out of 250 K goal. Planning to kick it up a notch next week, not necessarily in distance but in intensity...admitting to self that mostly walking this distance is not…
  • Headed to gym in the morning, perspired buckets on treadmill (though pretty slow pace, 6kph) til noon, had a heavenly cool shower before going to teach my class in the afternoon. Reminding self that getting the day off to a good start really affects the rest of it!
  • Another first timer, my goal is 250 km this month. My gym is having an 'indoor marathon' event until the 22d of August which is giving me some extra motivation!
  • There are people who maintain low body fat percentages, most of them put a great deal of work into it but not all....FWIW, the major variable I'm not seeing in this thread yet is the protein/fat/carb ratio of your diet. At a point it becomes not so much about calories.
