Lots of good advice here - I am particularly fond of walking to get some tension out. From wikipedia: Aerobic exercise is also a potent long-term antidepressant and a short-term euphoriant; consequently, consistent exercise has also been shown to produce general improvements in mood and self-esteem in all individuals.

Eat slowly, try to chew each bite at least 6-10 times. Use the stairs instead of escalators. To maintain your weight, you manage your calories, no matter what your calories come from: fried or greasy food; beer, wine, or spirits; sweets.

For me, if I've had a high calorie day, it seems I'm not really as hungry the day after. This is probably easier for me to maintain because I do some form of cardiovascular exercise 5 days a week (if not walking, then jogging) and I really dislike feeling full when I'm doing cardio. I find my cardio sessions more rewarding…

Way over calories for Saturday and Sunday, as per usual for me. Still within calorie budget for the week. I had a 3 pc popeyes meal with biscuit, a side of green beans, then had a slice of cheesecake from a nearby starbucks, with starbucks venti sweetened espresso drink. Then went to the movies and had a bag of snickers…

Take the free food, put it in your freezer, and save it for the days you can afford to have it in your calorie budget. If you want it badly enough, you'll make it fit.

Buy rice by the bag, dry beans are cheaper than canned, buy many vegetables and lean proteins. Chicken breast and maybe Turkey breast are cheap, or red meat. Some types of fish are fairly cost effective (frozen tilapia can be purchased in bags) shrimp is great lean protein for the calorie cost, but it may be less cost…

It sounds like it'll be worth your time to stop logging for a while and monitor your weight to be sure you're doing alright without the logging and weighing. Nothing terrible would happen if you gain, because you'd already know what you need to do for the scale to go back down. And, if you're continuing to lose, then…

I think this is what you're looking for: On the website, go to "My home" in the top left corner Then select "Goals" from the ribbon/banner below My Home Then edit Daily Nutrition Goals and manually set your daily calorie goal there and save changes I have not yet tried this myself, so I'll be watching this thread to see if…

Looking at a picture I took of myself today, I definitely can stand to lose some more fat. I think trying to bulk and cut may be the wrong idea for me because, objectively, my torso looks like 20-25% even though the dxa claims ~11% in the torso. So recomp is the idea at this point, not deficit, right? Okay, I'll do it that…

Alright :-) I'll stop worrying now. Thanks again! You're all very comforting
-
This is true! :-)

I don't think of myself as having more than average muscle mass, which is probably where my confusion stems. Thank you all for insightful commentary :-) i will not worry about dropping to 24.9 anymore!

I do bodyweight training, but not actual weight training with barbells/dumbbells. I do like how that has changed my physique; I'm just not sure if i should be at a deficit or maintenance calories. I'd imagine at a tiny deficit like this, it really won't matter if i have the extra 250 to eat or not. I don't see any health…

Thanks everyone for your time :-)

Thank you! So my follow up question is, should i keep aiming for bmi 24.9? Will losing more weight also cause me to lose more muscle than fat?
-
No, u
-
Lol this made me laugh out loud, i don't know why
-
I call shenanigans! Do you even lift, bro?
-
Oh yeah? I lost 60 lbs in 15 seconds. What took you so long?

What helps me is going out for a long walk, or even a jog. Strangely, when I'd stand up to start putting on my clothes to start my walk or jog, I'd suddenly feel full from what i ate earlier in the day. I really dislike feeling full when I'm doing cardio, so it became easier for me to get a grip on my intake.

Yes, I generally feel more positive about things. Stressful work related events are less disruptive to my overall mood.

Trendweight says I'm 176.4, my scale says 170.6. I'm also 5'9". My tape measure has me at 32.5" around my navel. I recently picked up size medium shirts and pants at Macy's

I think I'll have to. I have tried just eyeballing portions once for a month and my weight loss stalled. That made me recommit to using my scale.
-
Great job! You look fantastic!

I just googled a pluot. Now i must try one. Thanks :p
-
Lol thank you for that, been a while since ive watched The Simpsons

Wow, so i just need zinc to get over my pms craving?
-
Maybe you should eat the food you're avoiding, but make sure it fits into your calorie goal for day.
-
Cico is calories in calories out. To lose weight, you have to have fewer calories in than out. That means eat fewer calories than you use in a day so your body uses your body fat for energy

If the peanut butter urge is too strong, keep it out of the house until you can handle it.
