Isn't there some knowledge floating around these forums that describes a maximum amount of fat that the oxidized per day? If there is a maximum amount of fat that can be oxidized per day, and, one exceeds the oxidation maximum through calorie deficit, what happens when you exceed the maximum oxidation limit? Where does the…

Hi! Welcome to maintenance! :)
-
There are decent alternatives to full fat cheese if you're going to eat a lot of it daily. Laughing cow cheese has been a great find.
-
The title of this thread and the content are a little disappointing. However, it's very appropriate for a weight loss forum.

I've been in maintenance for 4 months, but stopped logging about 2 or 3 weeks ago to see how i do without all the metrics. I weigh once a week now ( down from daily.) i am definitely still mindful of keeping up with my exercise; i made sure to find a routine I'll continue indefinitely. If i end up gaining too much over…

I'd rather just be fat!

Thank you for this thread, sidesteel! As someone seeking to maintain my current exercise and eating plan indefinitely while maintaining( and slowly improving over time) my body composition, it's great to find your list and see why i feel comfortable and confident with my routine. I wish i had something to include to help…

If i were in your situation, OP, I'd cut one of my recipes down in size. If that's not enough, I'd cut another recipe down in size. If the idea of eating less doesn't sit well with you, then you'll need to exercise more. Fine, don't use a kitchen scale if you don't want to. Just eat less than you've been eating. How much…

You've lost weight by eating fewer calories than you've burned. Keep doing that and you'll continue losing weight.
-
Well, what you're doing now has lead to 5 lbs lost. Why are you worried about doing it differently?
-
It's definitely a good thing to find you're able to eat more than you thought you could while continuing to lose weight! Congratulations!
-
Avoid things that are not farm to table fresh! If you're eating poo to lose weight, make sure it's organic and gluten free. If you're doing the golden shower cleanse, make sure to not add sugar to the golden streams of goodness. Good luck!

Food scale to get a grip on portion sizes and choosing the highest calorie mfp entries for caloric value on things i have no labels to check against. Overestimating my calorie intake when i don't prepare the food myself. Getting a reasonable idea of my tdee by using an activity tracker ( fitbit charge hr) Ultimately, using…

Average rotisserie chicken weighs around 2 lbs (32 oz) 32oz*.25=8. So your estimation is off by more than 50% for just that one entry. That calorie value looks ok for ~4oz of chicken breast with no skin.

I want to try this. Food processors make too much noise though. :(

I love this!

I wonder if op is a Westboro Baptist. Perhaps this explains the Orthodoxy!
-
Nope! More bumps please ❤

I will bump this thread every hour to help op get all the attention she deserves.

You're not supposed to be logging exercise in mfp if you're using a tracking device. The tracking device, if synced with your account, will handle all your exercise calorie adjustments.

If you're looking to LOSE weight, then you need to eat less energy than you burn. If you are happy with your weight and want to look leaner, you'll want to recomp. That means eating very close to the amount of energy you use, and regularly engaging some kind of resistance training ( body weight, resistance bands, barbells,…

Lets hope these suggestions serve lurkers who may be negotiating their weekly alcohol consumption! The OP already did say he's not interested in changing his drinking patterns

This macro library is awesome! It helped me immensely with determining an eating goal to maintain/lose/gain weight. Thanks for the work you've done on it, @EvgeniZyntx

"How will i find time to see someone???? I can only do prayer study, consistently eat more energy than i use, and complain about not being thin. None of you get it!"
-
You don't need to lose more weight. It is likely the extra skin is adding a few pounds, but scale weight is just a number. Your body composition is more important than scale weight. Stop the deficit.

I'm referring to the above quote. Bmi is an average of population groups. It's a range. Your doctor even explained bmi doesn't account for muscle mass. I have seen a previous post from you, with pictures. I don't think It's beneficial for you to lose any more weight, but Your body Your choice!
-
@jeepinshawn your post got me a little concerned. You're not thinking of losing more weight, are you? From one internet stranger to another, you don't need to lose any more. With no sarcasm and fully serious, don't fall into the bmi goalpost trap. You should listen to your doctor.

You should probably ask how many people have stories of failure while counting calories, are angry at the process of eating less and moving more, yet, still use this a calorie counting website forum. Those would be more fun to read. <3 There's a success stories subforum that might be of value to you, OP.

keep doing what you're doing now. Do it until that stops working and you are ready to try committing to forming new habits.
