Well I didn't get any exercise in today, but I ate great!! My challenge will be to stay in my calorie goal, I do tend to go over. Actually my fitbit charge HR is awarding me extra calories from when I'm driving. My heart rate is up during these times but I don't really feel that I should be getting anything extra from…

Cailee, I just saw your post!! I like your personal goal of working out every other day and I think I will try that too!

Alright, this is on folks!! My official start weight is 190, nice round (pun intended!) number for me. I was weighing myself in the kitchen, which worked out fine in the summer as I wasn't wearing a lot of clothes, but since the weather has turned cool I was forced to move it up to my bathroom. My clothing was adding about…

I have to admit, I do enjoy those pun-y one liners.

What? No one at the door? My Canadian garden is pretty much done. This wonderful September weather is gifting me a few more zucchini and late green house cucumbers tho. I'll take em!
-
I was off by approx 93 cals per day (and that is totally attributed to my logging) which works out to .8 lbs over 28 days! I love my charge HR. I can't wait to calculate this at a years time.
-
Sure I'll play! Hopefully it will inspire me to get off my duff and enjoy this beautiful fall weather :) So I will start tomorrow, as Wednesday is my 'official' weigh in day! And 8 weeks puts me at November 25. I'm sorry, I never mean to be difficult!! CW- 190.6 (weight in is tomorrow, I will have to update!) Would…

That's fantastic, good for you!

The weather has turned and its time for long pants in the am. I haven't had long pants on since I started counting calories. I only wear yoga type pants, or drawstring type, certainly NO non stretch fabric lol. So since this material is so forgiving I had assumed I would not be needing new pants for a while! However, all…

I did do the whole atkins thing, a very long time ago. It was actually the first 'diet' that I ever lost weight on. I can't remember how long I did it for (under a year), but I lost down to 145lbs. I was very satiated and would have sworn back then that I wasn't eating at a deficit. I can't remember how many carbs I was…
-
I know how you feel! Well not entirely, I've 'only' lost about 30 lbs but I can't see it. So just wanted to add my vote to the positive here, you look great and you can certainly tell that you've lost way more then just a few pounds! Great job!!

Totally fricken hilarious, lol.

Zucchini Crab Cakes and Spinach feta salad! Oh and bean burritos and toasted tomato with bacon and lentil sprouts. And soup, all kinds!

I am still a member of the clean ur plate club, it's ingrained deep. But I never ever spouted that mantra to my children and I am amazed that they can eat till they are full and then push a plate with food still on it away from them! Half of me is going "omg the WASTE", the other half is thinking "thank god, thank god" and…

Do what editorgrrl says, and the bold is how much to eat.

I'm just south of Ottawa, Ontario :)

Ketchup chips. I was "this" close to tearing into the bag but I wasn't hungry. Yay me :)
-
Spinach! I love spinach salad, but hate picking out the gross slimy bits. I buy the big containers because I eat it all, but the stores I buy it from don't seem to have the freshest produce!

That number of 1487 is simply your BMR. now you have to multiply that number by an amount depending on your activity level. Mfp does all this for you, btw but wont put you lower then 1200. So try this site, it explains it very clearly. http://www.everydayhealth.com/weight/boost-weight-loss-by-knowing-your-bmr.aspx

Close, but we usually find more interesting things to call it then 'just' winter :)

I read this thread all the time but don't post :) However, I'm feeling super energetic after riding the exercise bike. I could use that all day cause its so quiet but DANG i get a sore butt!!! 30 min and I had to stop lol. Is that just me?

I'm 5'2.5 :) started about 70 days ago at 223 and I'm at 198 today!! Hoping to get to 123, NO clue if that's even possible for me. My tdee At goal weight at sedentary is alarmingly low... All feel free to add me :)

I love them scooped out, diced and mixed with balsamic and oil and red onions. Let the onions marinate a little if you can, yum.

When I know I have a solid deficit for the week and I could pretty much eat anything I want and still loose a little that week, but instead l choose to PASS!
-
Wow, just wow!! Your pictures were great and what a difference, such a good job, I'm very proud :) And fantastic smile btw, I was smiling with you at your progress pics!
-
Awesome progress, and and ironman? Fantastic!!! Along with crabs in the bucket mentality, lets not forget how the insecure feel safer when there is someone who 'obviously' has 'bigger' (no, this is not what I feel) issues then them in the room! You loosing weight is removing their safety blanket!

Just eat what you enjoy, weigh it all out however. I'm guessing MFP gave you 1230 as a calorie goal. You will see what you could eat and stay within your totals. Maybe you will decide some foods just don't fill you and they become treats. Eat back half of your exercise calories for extra food options as well as to stay…

Do you know what your caloric intake is for the day?

So does the nerd fitness routine fit into this category? http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/ I would eventually love to do the stronglifts 5x5, but until then would the above work?

Hi Dean, great job!! You mention many things I've never even heard of! lol. I don't have many interesting hacks but I do like no or low fat cottage cheese for protein boost. 1 Tbsp ground flax added to almost anything for fiber boost. I found a Renee's Fat Free Caesar dressing that has 5 cals per tbsp!
