What does your diet consist of, OP? What are the breakdowns for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner M-F? What about weekends?

Never bashed calorie counting. Simply said it is not sustainable for me. Key part: “for me”. And I also recall saying that it does work so if that is what you call bashing then maybe you can rewrite the Merriam Webster’s dictionary definition for it.

This is exactly why I went down the path of drinking more water. It is a supplementary habit that promotes weight loss but people keep mistaking that I’m doing this as the only means to manage weight. Drinking half my body weight in water is healthy according to many studies and it boosts energy, cleans out toxins, it’s…

You are awesome. I love the way you gracefully put them in their place. I simply came here for advice, not scorn, and most certainly not to be made to feel like I am the only one who is looking for different options to adopt to suit their weight management journey. If you have something of value to offer up, by all means,…

I had to give you a hug for this one! Multiple solutions that I can see myself taking advantage of.

This is great advice. I like your approach and you were not judgmental or condescending during your knowledge transfer. I will take this into account and make the necessary adjustments. Appreciate you bro. #TeamFit

Will power. I have strong will power and it actually became easier to do over time. I felt like I was plateauing on it so I switched back to the base of 3 days a week. I had to stop Keto because it wasn’t good for my cholesterol levels.
So you can will yourself to fast and do keto but logging your food is a bridge…
So you're favoring other temporary and marginally unrelated measures vs. a known-effective methodology? Why do you find logging to be such an unsustainable habit?
Calorie counting works but Is not the only way to lose or maintain weight. It is not sustainable for me because I don’t enjoy counting every…
Personally for me doing keto and fasting 5 out of 7 days a week sounds really extreme and unsustainable to me. I honestly don't know how you did that.
Will power. I have strong will power and it actually became easier to do over time. I felt like I was plateauing on it so I switched back to the base of 3…

I track calories but not for every meal. I am not a big fan of it because although it works (I’ve done it in the past), it is not a sustainable habit for me. I’ve been going the route of eating smaller portions of food, fasting, upping water consumption, working out, and getting more sleep. I did Keto earlier this year and…

Given my body weight, drinking a gallon a day is on par with what many health articles online have said is ideal. I do not count calories like I used to but I generalize portion sizes fairly well from the years I consistently did it. I find that counting calories to the T is not fun for me. I fast a few days out of the…

So just to see if this water intake thing has been working....I weighed myself moments ago. I am two lbs lighter than yesterday, with no physical exercise. I urinated a lot today with no bowel movements. I believe sodium is the culprit. I'm hoping i'll be back down to 240ish by next week.

thanks for the info @ceoverturf and @yopeeps025 . Both of you make valid points. My sodium has been high now that I think of it.

I log my food religiously. I don't calorie count my food, just eye ball it. That has been working for me, as I went from 270 lbs on here to 231 lbs at my lowest. For the past 7 months, I've been keeping it in the high 240s. I can still fit the same clothes as I did at 231. Yesterday, during the afternoon (bad time to…
