I hear you, sir! Former sugar addict myself. Then I switched to heroin.

It may sound counter intuitive to weight loss, but found that having a cup of hot chocolate or mocha and 4pm kind of kills my appetite and sugar and fat cravings the entire evening and night that I completely skip dinner those days. In calorie count, I still win!

My opinion is you try mindful meditation. I have felt that I regained control and didn't even had to fight the urges. Good luck with finding the job you like.
