  • Actually this is also why I'm not on Facebook. Its so impersonal and ingenuine at times.
  • I hate the like button. I find myself using it out of support, but now thinking about it, I don't really notice when someone likes my post because its nearly meaningless. What does annoy me is when I'm struggling and the best thing I can get is a "like" when actual thoughtful interaction would be much more warranted.
  • I'm hoping to be in onederland by the new year! I have 5.2 pounds to go!
  • Join the low carb group. There's a lot of great people in there that can help you out!
  • Needless to say, anyone also struggle can add me. OP, I'm shooting a FR your way right now.
  • I just got diagnosed with endometriosis. The past six months have been a...gem...flare after flare. Up 55 pounds from my "normal" and even my usual weight is slightly chubby. NOT A FAN. Had an electrocautery lap last month...so far not good. The struggle is real, and I feel like so many people don't understand that,…
  • I loved mine but ended up either allergic to something in the band, or really irritated by the bulging HRM because I broke out in a raw painful rash on my wrist. I never have had a problem with my flex band...but like I said, I loved it and I was sad to see it go.
  • Hi Everyone! My name is Mandi. I have a 2.5 year old daughter, and also a son who was born at the end of February. Thanks to a few pregnancy related issues, I wasn't able to be physically active...add that to having blood sugar issues and my weight went up 70 pounds. Even though it has been 6 months, I've only lost 35 of…
  • I would love extra support! I've been on here for a bit now, but just getting serious now. This biggest thing for me was getting sober...only been 6 days, but I got through the hardest part and I've been kicking butt in every way possible!
  • I thought pale was the new tan? Or maybe that's just what I tell myself. When I was younger I used to go tanning, use Jergen's natural glow, bronzers, fake tanners, lay out in the sun with oil on my skin. Now I just embrace it. Less crap on my body, and obviously (hopefully) less wrinkles and skin cancer risk long-term. It…
  • I wouldn't worry. It could just be normal fluctuations. If you are eating more on the weekends, and tend to drop 4-5 pounds during the week when your eating less, it isn't necessarily all fat. Just like when you eat more on the weekends, youre not actually gaining fat. Its just water weight. My husband is the same weight,…
  • I was too sick yesterday and the day before to exercise due to IBS issues, but got 10k steps today! That should also help keep things moving. I suppose it's time I go back on probiotics for a while so I don't end up in the hospital again like this weekend...are fiber supplements okay too? I'm assuming so.
  • Oh goodness! I am so glad that this can and most likely will help my IBS! Thats been a huge concern, because so many people say eat this much fiber, with this much oatmeal/quinoa/wholegrain bread cereal whatever. A majority of that stuff still makes my blood sugar crash. For the moment though, IBS is literally the worst…
  • This is why I'm doing this. It just makes the most sense to me and is something I believe I could easily do long term. So far, the cravings I've had have been tough, but I've gotten through them...which is a minor miracle. I'm trying to listen to my body and eat what I need...usually averaging 1800-1900 give or take on…
  • Just looked at some of my blood work results from yesterday...been in and out of hospital for semi non-related issues...and my blood sugar was 70 and I wasn't fasting at that point. But I mean, I would've never guessed because I felt fine. So back to checking more consistently for a while.
  • Somebody had a totally successful three months, Id say! Holy crap!
  • Before I had kids, I lost 50 pounds over the course of about 10 months or so. I would see little changes here and there but nothing major. It wasn't until I got close to the 50 pound mark that noticed. And by then I was completely enamored with how great I looked. A week after that I got pregnant. Figures. Must've been…
  • The first two days my total carbs we're in the 50's. That's because I ended up eating a Kind Almond protein bar that had 15 carbs...yesterday I felt comfortable cutting that out, and my total carbs were 38 for the day I believe. I have been eating bacon and eggs daily. Other than that, I eat relatively normal...I have just…
  • I am actually super glad that you posted this, because I'm craving ice cream super bad right now...I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to not like it much anymore!
  • I am onto day three of getting back on the bandwagon....For Good...and I feel fresher and less bloated already. Its already a lot easier this time around than the first, and it's all thanks to the good advice from you guys!
  • Just used up all my eggs and not going out to the store until idk when...Tuesday probably...needed ideas!
  • I remember telling my mother about my interest in keto...oh god was that mistake, lol. So basically I get to pretend like I'm not eating low carb and avoid everybody until I at least have physical results I can show off from it...then they can just stuff it.
  • I'm really not all that technical about it...never thought of it! I just go by the label which is usually 1-2 pan fried slices. If I cook something else in the bacon grease I just estimate extra calories and log the bacon fat separate. I think if I didn't have so much weight to lose and had to be super accurate it would be…
  • I know I SHOULD log my binges. But I'm usually drunk and ashamed.
  • When I lost 50 pounds, they went down maybe a cup size...but quite a few band sizes. They were also...softer. I've now birthed and nursed two kids...and they got up to a 34H while lactating...so they're thoroughly destroyed now anyway. I'm hoping when I lose all this extra weight I held onto from having babies, they'll get…
  • Its not a smoothie but overnight oats with sugar free chocolate pudding mix and chocolate soy milk is AMAZING. 4 servings is: 1 cup oats 1 cup milk of choice (chocolate Silk is my favorite) 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain works great) 1 box of Jello sugar free pudding mix I then usually add extra stuff like some super dark…
  • Welcome! Sent you a FR but anyone else can add me too...I'm 5'3 and need to lose about 60 pounds too. Blech.
  • During my first pregnancy I avoided caffeine...coffee made me sick anyway. While nursing her, I couldn't even have a couple sips of coffee or she would get colicky. Which sucked because I was exhausted. With my second, I drank a cup of coffee a day and he was able to tolerate it while nursing no problem.
  • Hi ladies! SAHM mom here too, 4 month old boy and 2 year old girl. Would like to get back to my pre-baby weight...which was like...50 pounds ago. :| Could use all the support I can get because I'll soon be a full-time college student as well!
