I do loads of walking so get some calories back with doing that. I really need to just rethink everything I'm eating and plan it all better

I've got about 12lb to lose. I'm set at 0.5lb per week. Great idea about subtracting what I need for evening dinner/snacks.

So I definitely eat 1350 per day plus my exercise ones? When I started MFP it wouldn't let me put in 2lb a week, too much anyway for me each week, I'd be starving

I've changed to .5 lb week and calories gone up to 1350. Is 1lb too much then?

I have less than 15lb to lose. It's set at 1lb a week, 1200 calories. Wish I liked cottage cheese but can't eat it. Will try eating more Greek yoghurt though.

No not really got a reason. Lots people say on this that only eat up to 50% back, I was just going with that.

If making for a family I'd weigh every individual item and divide by how may portions (in my case 4) then log every item in my diary. If I eat out I'd look for that item on my fitness pal and always log more calories for it as no idea what it's cooked in. Hope this helps

I'm counting them into my diary, everything ate is logged. It's obviously new to me counting them, was just wondering. Wrong choice of work using "diet" other food plans I should have said. Scottish slimmers and slimming world I done before. Weren't for me hence why I'm doing this now.

95% of mine. I get lazy when using milk for tea but weigh my cereal milk. I only have at most 2 per day, sometimes don't have any so not stressing over it

Instead of half filling it with porridge or oats, weigh it instead. And what you having with it? Milk, water, fruit, yoghurt? Until you buy a scale there is no way what you are logging is right.

How can you log you day when you don't know the weights of food you are consuming? You can't.

Today I've ate 1128 calories but burned 412 calories. My total calories per day is 1200, so I then think I have 72 left so how many should I aim to eat back??
