  • It's got to be done from the website, not the app. I think it's in profile. Hope that helps!
  • Find something about yourself that you like -- I'm sure there's something. It doesn't need to be physical. Then start telling yourself, either mentally or out loud, that you are happy with that bit. Examples: "Wow, my eyeliner really looks on point today! I did a great job with that." Or, (and this translates to any task,…
  • Last time I was on vacation in DC I averaged 10 miles a day walking. That city is a perfect destination for wonderful food and great pedestrian sight-seeing. Before you know it, you've walked off most everything calorie-wise by bedtime every night. Good for you for finding that perfect balance!
  • Check out Misfit's new Speedo Shine, maybe? I am looking at switching to it myself away from my basic Fitbit Flex. The Speedo Shine tracks all kinds of activities including how many laps you've you've swum. It doesn't do heart rate, however. But it's well under $100 and pretty nifty looking with plenty of ways to wear it.
  • I am not a big breakfast eater, but yogurt tubes are a lifesaver. I know they're marketed to kids, but for portion and convenience they are great. I get Siggi brand blueberry Icelandic yogurt: only 50 calories, 5g of protein, no artificial sweeteners.
  • I'm so glad you've recognized this as an issue and are taking steps to resolve it, awareness is key to getting over any bad thought process or behavior. Most colleges have in house counseling available, and they are often especially trained issues affecting body image. Please see what resources your school has available,…
  • I agree that you should whatever is best for you right now, and talking things out with family that you don't feel close to may never feel right or be right for you. That said, however, loss of a family member is tough and although 21 is an adult you are still very young. A support system might help you right now. You say…
  • I like to start with "This Too Will Pass" by OK GO, as it's a good get moving tune. The last song on any of my workout playlists is "Praise You" by Fat Boy Slim. It's super upbeat and very celebratory. It's like getting an 'attaboy' from my iPod for making it to the end of my time on the treadmill.
  • This Too Shall Pass by Ok Go. It's very up tempo and uplifting. It's the first track on all my workout playlists.
  • A product I use that has completely healed up my loose skin rashes has the stupidest name, but has worked wonders for me: Anti Monkey Butt Powder, or also Lady Anti Monkey Butt Powder. I found it much more effective than Gold Bond, cocoa butter, body glide, etc. It can be tough to find retail, but Amazon has got it for…
  • I deactivated my FB about 2 or 3 years ago, I honestly think it was the best thing I could've done for myself. Not only did I realize how much time I'd been wasting on it, I realized how unhappy I had been letting it make me. Constantly comparing my life to everyone else's, all the petty nonsense and drama, the political…
  • Try a Soda Stream machine. We were lucky enough to find one at a thrift store for $8, but even full price for one of them is still only the cost of a month's worth of soda for my family. They've got tons of syrups so you can pick and choose your own flavors and intensity of taste. The non-diet stuff is an aspartame and…
