Oh how I exciting, I hardly ever see anyone else on here from Oklahoma! And yep, that is definitely the state meal.. lol How any one person could eat all that in one sitting, I have no idea, but it would be yummy, I'm sure.

I'm fairly certain the cheez-its I just ate were very real. The leftover orange crumbs in my teeth lead me to believe I was not eating imaginary food.

Since you're just wanting experiences without opinions, here is mine. I've taken phentermine 2 separate times - both just for a month as a "kick start" (also recommended by my doctor) - the first time I took it was 3 years ago, second time was 2 years ago. I had the same experience both times, as far as side effects go.…

Just noticed you live in Lawton! I live in Norman :) Oklahomans love their biscuits & gravy. I'm pretty sure it's part of our state meal. Or maybe that was chicken fried steak & gravy....

Mmmm biscuits & gravy.

I'm in the OKC area :)

Seems to me a hiking shoe would work better - you might still feel the rocks a little bit, but the hiking shoes would probably hold up better than regular running shoes.

Happens to me every time I walk with my hands down and swinging (vs. walking on a treadmill holding onto the handles, for instance) - I think it's pretty normal. Just gravity pulling the fluid downward. Like someone else said, just take your rings off before your walk. ETA - You could try bending your arms at the elbows…

This is true... I just start it over and play it again lol

Oh another one for me is Down With The Sickness by Disturbed.... that beginning "Ooo wah ah ah ah" just really gets me going haha

This is basically the only type of response you're going to get here, OP. Might as well go ahead and end this thread now before it gets ugly.

I tried hCG years ago. Ended up losing 25lbs in a month, WOOHOO!!!! But also lost my hair, had headaches, dizziness/lightheadedness, weakness, and gained back about 35lbs. So good luck with that.

Gotcha - sad to say, that never even occurred to me. lol

Same here - I mean, I'm still overweight, but confidence isn't an issue. It isn't tied to my weight, so if it's something you struggled with before, I can see it still being an issue now, even after the weight is gone. You've done an awesome thing and should be very proud of yourself. I'm not to the end of my weight loss…

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Random curiosity - I wasn't familiar with 21 Day Fix, so I googled it and found the Beach Body site. One of their big selling points is "No Calorie Counting" so what do you use MFP for exactly?

I'd like to join! Diagnosed 10 years ago at age 18.

Just like your title suggests, everything you're going to get here is "opinions" from people who for the most part have no scientific knowledge on the subject... and you know what they say about opinions... they're just like a$sholes, everyone's got one. If you really want to make an informed decision for yourself, there…

Meh - just noticed that too. I hate zombie threads.

I lift and LOVE it. Lifting 3x a week, and I just do some light cardio like walking a few times a week because I enjoy it. But lifting is my main form of exercise.
-
"Walk" by Pantera... definitely.

I watched it. I cuss like a sailor, so the language didn't offend me, and I agree with his points. It was absolutely pure laziness that got me to my highest weight. It wasn't a lack of knowledge at all - I was an athlete my entire life, so I know how to workout in the weight room or anywhere else, and I know how I SHOULD…

I also have PCOS and am on Metformin. Just a tip - don't be afraid to lift weights. I have no idea what the scientific explanation is, but I'm seeing much better results with my weight loss after adding in (HEAVY) weight lifting, compared to when I would just do cardio all the time.
-
When I got mine taken out, I just remember eating a lot of mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. That doesn't exactly help with your protein goal, but it's all I seemed to be able to eat lol ETA - definitely stay away from straws! I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out at the same time and ended up getting dry socket in 2 of…

Agreed.

It takes more than will power to overcome psychological problems. Just like you wouldn't tell someone with severe depression or bi-polar disorder that they can get over it if they just had enough willpower, you can't expect to treat an eating disorder with sheer willpower. You need to involve professionals who can assist…

I lift :) You can add me if you'd like.

I love using coconut oil on my hair - amazing results - and also as a skin moisturizer for my body, not face, but I don't have much experience cooking with it. I had heard that coconut oil is better for higher heat cooking than olive oil, but looks like some commenters above have clarified that point already.

Girl, I'm with you! The excess hair growth is really the biggest problem I have with my PCOS, but I haven't tried to have kids yet, so I'm not sure how I'm doing in the fertility department. But seriously, the hair is AWFUL. Even after multiple rounds of laser hair removal, it still comes back. Stubborn as a mule. I keep a…

Personally, I've been on Metformin since I was diagnosed 10 years ago @ age 18, so I've never tried losing weight without it, so I can't compare the two. However, I do know that when I do what I know I'm supposed to do (like eating right & exercising), and especially if I'm including heavy weight lifting, I lose weight at…
