It's good fat. Fat is not evil, it is necessary, as long as it is from the right sources. OP, I love coconut oil. I also use it on my hair & skin.

Milk doesn't magically make the nutrition info of the powder change, those values just include the powder + milk nutrition. No need to track your milk a second time if you are using the powder + milk nutrition info already.

I've used Splenda brown sugar in a couple recipes, and thought it still turned out yummy. Just have to be sure to look on at the conversion chart on the Splenda package - it doesn't take as much Splenda as regular sugar.

PCOS here also, feel free to add me if you want, I leave my food diary open for my friends :) It's nice to get ideas from other peoples' diaries! And also nice to have people on your list who understand PCOS and how it can affect you!
-
That actually doesn't describe the issue... it just says "Bug: Some members cannot add food to their diary via Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer. After searching the food database, and selecting an item to add to their diary, the food item selected is not showing nutritional ingredients and the ability to add the item…

I'm completely late to the party, but after skimming through the posts in this group, it seems great! I have similar goals to most of you - would like to lose around 60lbs. I don't really have a deadline or anything, but obviously the sooner the better haha Would like to get it done by the end of the year. I've done MFP…

I totally see it too. Great job, OP - you look amazing!! That's a heck of an accomplishment.

Didn't even catch that but you're right... the oatmeal cookies...

I agree - it's been a loooong time since I've had one of those, and it was usually eaten with 2-4 people total (including myself). Even if it's intended for 6 people, I'm pretty sure a party of 6 is more likely to order 2 orders to split lol.

Completely agree with this! (surprise, surprise :) ) I can tell a drastic difference in my mood if I've gone too many days in a row without exercise. And sometimes the positive effect for me is immediate - if I'm having a crappy day or feeling stressed or sad or whatever, a full workout or even just a walk does a world of…

Exercise helps me stabilize my moods and control my anxiety immensely - I do a combination of weight training (3x/week... each session is about 45 mins) and cardio (4-5x/week, 30mins to 1 hour in length) and throw in yoga every now and then which I also love and helps a lot. Walking is my favorite form of cardio and the…

Came here to see the posters who were "blasting" you and all I see is good advice. Portion control sounds like the real issue here. I don't have any advice to add that hasn't already been offered - except to advise you to take the advice :)

If the thing that causes you to spiral out of control is the fact that the food was not "on plan" then I can relate to that. Every time I've tried to lose weight before, I was a perfectionist, all or nothing, very black and white type person with my approach, and if I deviated off that plan, it made me feel like I failed…

For exercises, I would recommend finding some chair workouts on Youtube - there are lots and you can do them sitting down or modify them to meet your fitness level. As for the late night eating, there's nothing wrong with eating late at night as long as it's within your calorie goal. So if you find that you are hungrier at…

I have the same problem. I even started walking a lap around the inside of my building every 30 mins, and still couldn't even come close. I have to get in a deliberate workout to be able to come close to my step goal, but I work out 5 days a week regardless, so I'm not too concerned.

Many gyms will offer a free introductory personal training session - it may be worth checking into that at your gym, so they can give you some ideas of the different exercises, proper form, and answer any specific questions you have.

I 2nd adjustable dumbbells - I've used them before and really liked them, and you don't have to keep going out a buying a new set when you want to progress to heavier weights.

People can be ignorant. Metformin is talked about a lot here, so don't worry about it.
-
I was wondering the same thing, unless it's someone who has a completely wrong idea about what Metformin is. OP, I've been on Metformin for the past 10 years, since my first diagnosis of PCOS. I don't have any side effects with the exception of some stomach discomfort back when I first started taking it, but that went away…

I think it depends on the person's goals. From what I've seen, the people who do very little cardio are those who are focusing on improving the appearance of their body whether through weight loss, body recomp, etc, and therefor really only nutrition (whether it's a calorie deficit, workout fuel, etc) and lifting are the…

Interesting... Coconut oil has plenty of calories in it just like olive oil - how do they turn it into a no-calorie spray? I love coconut oil and a spray would be awesome to have, but the no-calorie part sounds suspect. Good to know that it's low sodium, though. I had never paid attention before.

I also have Zumba for my Wii - love it!

Oh so many awful awful things... pizza was always a big downfall for me. I used to order the $10 Dinner Box from Pizza Hut and eat the whole thing by myself over the course of an evening - which includes pizza, cheese sticks and cinnamon sticks. Just awful. I'm actually able to finally just have a couple pieces of pizza…

Struggling with this myself at the moment - so glad to see I'm not the only one. It gets so frustrating.

Lifter here! Love love love it. Feel free to add me everyone :)

Really, Fiddy lost 80lbs?? He never looked like he nearly that much to lose. 30 maybe. Makes me think of that commercial - can't remember which it was.. I think for car insurance - making fun of "it was on the internet so it must be true." On another note - I'm lazy and don't feel like Googling, would you mind giving a…

The way you worded the title of your thread should've been different then. You got appropriate responses for a post titled "Can I lose 80lbs in 9 weeks?" *Edit to fix typo.

Now THIS is a thread topic I can get behind - Alien!

I thought this was going to be one of those sarcastic joke threads to show how ridiculous these types of posts are - but nope, it's legitimate. Anyway... No.

I'm sometimes the only woman in my entire gym - not just the weights section - and I've found that most people honestly don't give two fcks what anyone else is doing. People are focused on their own workout, and even if they're resting between sets, most people seem to either be on their phones or watching TV. Some glance…
