Knowing that I don't want to go in the other direction again. It's hard being bullied. Yesterday a male friend said "heard you got fat". After being skinny almost my entire life, that was really hard to hear. I'm finally seeing my metabolism pick up. Added 2 cups of green tea a day, more fiber (inulin) and 1/2 avocado and…

The Egg is pretty perfect even though it's gotten a bad rap in the past. I would say scrambled eggs with olive oil and kale would be a perfect meal.

Thanks everyone, I was afraid it would hamper my weightloss, glad to see that everyone taking it is doing so well. Best Wishes! Cheryl

Hi, I'm trying to lose 25 as well and had to up my calories from 1200 to 1500. I'll be maintaining for the rest of my life so wanted a diet\life style that I would stick to. It's working out great. You can try doing 1200 for 2 days out of the week and see how that goes. I was losing 2 lbs every 7 days on the 1200, it does…

I wondered about this myself. I get so hungry around bedtime, so I try to keep hard boiled eggs or plain yogurt handy. That old wives tale about eating before bed still haunts me.
-
I love food too so reading this helped me see it can be done. What a beautiful family, you look so healthy too!
-
Congrats, a pictures worth a thousand words. You must be thrilled right now!
-
Please include me too! Thanks  My metabolism is scary.

I love throwing on old clothes, heading outdoors to speed walk, not having any noise or chatter, it's mind-clearing to hit the pavement and not have to think about anything except moving. My gym feels stagnant and I get depressed walking in there, esp when it's nice outside. Guess I need to find a different gym this winter.

Hi, I just sent a friend request. I think you are a very sweet & positive person and the fact that you lost over 50 lbs is simply fantastic. I am humbled by that because you must have great self-control. I am walking & running over 5 miles a day and struggling to lose 25. I "think" I'm doing okay then I read a story like…

Keep up the good work. I came here for inspiration. You are doing Awesome!! Woot Woot! So happy to see this. Thank you for sharing your story, it helps those of us who need motivation.

I keep lots of 100 calorie yogurt on hand. Tonight I craved a cherry turnover. Maybe I can exercise enough tmmorrow to make that happen. Have it for breakfast or something.

Thank you everyone for your great ideas and feedback. I was eating more than I was working off. I thought I was okay as long as it was mostly protein. So wrong! I really had no idea.
-
If anyone wants to add me as a friend, I am a social butterfly and like making new friends!
-
Thank you, it does make sense that I should pay more attention to my protein intake above all else.

You've taken a HUGE step just by posting this, saying out loud that you want change. The hardest part is always "getting started" and it sounds like you want to be thinner and you know you can do it!!! Walking has helped me greatly, it's easy, anyone can do it and I have consistently lost every time summer I do it. I use…

I got on the scale and weigh 2 ounces more today after exercising (again) for over an hour yesterday and staying under my calories. It's making me CrAzY. Your story will keep me going. It's so easy to want to give up. Seeing how much you lost DOES inspire me, you are tiny like I used to be. I want this so bad.

Was always wearing pink socks to bed.

I'm new here and still learning. Sorry for any confusion I've caused about muscle gain.
-
Possibly you've gained some muscle, that weighs more. I biked hard every day for the first two weeks before joining here and my legs felt firmer but the scales said I didn't lose a pound. I was crushed. Then the following 2 weeks I walked every single day (10,000 steps) and I lost 3 lbs. Stick with it.

I've used stevia for years (esp in my coffee or Yerba Mate tea). I carry the packets in my purse. No guilty feelings here if I use a little Splenda once in awhile too.
