After the 1st wk, the scale went down .2 pounds. :( After the 2nd wk, .4. >:( I'm on wk 3 now (wk 4 starts Monday), and down 3lbs from my last weigh-in as of this morning (I weigh daily to track the trend, overall it's steadily going down). It's 3.6lbs from day 1. I know it's not a lot, but I've still been able to go out…

Thanks for all the replies! I've been using my scale almost religiously for 2wks, except for a family reunion & unexpected dinner out with friends. I was just curious because I've been seeing either or on the forums, and I wanted an opinion on what some people think is the better option. Using the unit from the label makes…

I hadn't thought of it that way. Now that you've pointed it out, it seems obvious.

32 here! I kind of have a goal weight, 135 but it's not set in stone. That was my weight in high school when I met my husband, and I thought I was fat. :/ 16 years later...and I'm 40lbs over that. 40lbs over 16yrs is easy to ignore. It's only 2.5lbs/yr. Until you go to a family reunion & hubby's tactless aunt asks if…

Not particularly. Not that I realize at least. No drinking over Easter weekend & spent about 5hrs deep cleaning the house Saturday. The weekend prior I had 3 beers (accounted for, and cardio-d away before-hand). I guess I would have to say heavier foods if anything. Still within range though, just foods I can fix since I'm…

Well now I have a question! What is considered "moderate" exercise, vs "light"? Would 5/6 days of running/lifting (not both the same day) be moderate or light?

I'm in the states, but we got engaged & married in 6mths. I bought a dress from David's Bridal 5mths before the wedding. Had to order it in my size, but I had it in my possession, after alterations, about 2mths before the wedding. I was told not to lose/gain weight after I got it back. Just keep in mind, there are only so…

I have it as well! I managed about 2 weeks before I ended up hurting my shoulder somehow & couldn't really raise my arms. So I took time off & haven't done it since. I will say, if you are out of shape, keeping up with the modified version is still hard. I was starting to notice results though. Keep thinking I should get…

5 or 6, depending on the weekends plans. M, W, F, I lift. I run the other days, for at least an hour. I'll skip a cardio day before a weight day.

Good to know it's not just me! I had a turkey sandwich and 2 apples after for a late lunch.

My DH said he could see & feel my bicep muscles tonight. :) All my heavy lifting & sore muscles have not been for naught!!

I think they meant weighing weekly with that. You're right though, there is too much fluctuation between days to get any useful feedback from daily weigh ins.

I had the same thought, but I also thought a month isn't really that long & I'm just starting out (been tracking calories for about 2 weeks now). I would love to weigh weekly, but it gives me anxiety obsessing about it. I'm already prone to anxiety over a variety of things so if I can eliminate or reduce one, it's worth it…

Thanks! Yes, there is a lot of "Bro science" and a lot of up-selling of their supplements. I'm not interested in any of that, I don't want to become a fitness model, just be healthier & actually be able to see muscle. I know I need an intelligent meal plan, I just don't necessarily want to follow theirs. I don't "want…

I know this has been said, but I've actually left early before due to how uncomfortable it was: Grunting
