@lauriekallis I realized on day 2 that I was out of sync and adjusted so I'm on track with the rest of you this week!

I haven't tried the frozen zucchini spirals, but I have made zoodles with fresh zucchini and a spiralizer before, and they are not soft (at least not the way I cooked them.) I used to just give them a quick heat up in a pan with whatever sauce I was eating them with, and they had more bite than you would expect. Do the…

I bought it at Food City (regional grocery chain, if you're not familiar) and the brand is called Cedar's. It was in the open refrigerated section with like party trays, premade sandwiches, etc.

Discovered dark chocolate hummus yesterday and have not yet decided if that's a blessing or a curse. It tastes like brownie batter and I've been dipping strawberries in it. Time will tell if it is something I can keep around and enjoy in moderation.

Jumping on to this thread because I saw a big backslide on the scale this week and I need more accountability. My goals starting tomorrow will be: 1. 500 calorie deficit 7 days a week 2. 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week 3. 60 oz of water 7 days a week

I guess I don't understand the purpose of testing for COVID if you're completely sure you have it and no amount of negative test results will convince you otherwise. Why waste resources and time running test after test, if you will only trust a positive result? I can't imagine going to a doctor with a sore throat, being…

This kind of thing makes me wonder how many other illnesses he was tested for. If he was already vaccinated for COVID and had 3 negative COVID tests... maybe consider the possibility that he has flu, pneumonia, any other variety of illness with similar symptoms? Other diseases don't just disappear, and it seems…

I know an ex boyfriend of mine really wanted to bike for exercise, but as a bigger man, he was too heavy ☹️ Most bicycles have a weight limit of 300 pounds so the people "trudging along" may not have the option to ride.

@PAPYRUS3 my brother and I used to fight over who got the cherries in the fruit cocktail 😂 good memories.

I've been hovering at 184 for about a month now. I KNOW it's because I've been stressed out and not sticking to my deficit, I KNOW it's because I've been dealing with leg and foot issues that have been hampering my exercise, but darnit why couldn't I get stuck at 180 instead? Then at least I would be crossed over into the…

Connie, I would guess she's talking about lengua tacos...beef tongue. It's offered on the menus of a lot of the little Mexican places around here but I've never been adventurous enough to try it myself...

I found some sugar free lemon pudding mix on my last grocery run - not sure if this is a new flavor offering or if they just started carrying it, as I hadn't seen it before. I was excited because I love lemon flavored desserts but the regular full sugar lemon pudding is 110 cals per serving and that's a little more than…

Great advice as always, Novus. My main source of stress is my job and it's especially bad right now because they are making us return to the office next week. This is what I've been dreading ever since they sent us home over a year ago. In order to try and ease the transition, I followed your advice and picked one small…

I've been dealing with this a lot lately and it's usually been in the form of "You're just having a bad day today, so go ahead and have some comfort food and get back on track tomorrow." Problem is, I've got stressors going on that can't be resolved in just a day, so my bad days are actually bad weeks.... months.... and…

Oh, no! Yes, I just looked it up and that sounds very much like what I'm experiencing. I had thought plantar fasciitis was something that only happened to runners and I haven't run in about 4 years so thought I was in the clear. I already wear good, supportive shoes (including Superfeet insoles) so may have to try…

Has anyone dealt with heel pain when trying to exercise? I have pain in the heel of my left foot that's been bothering me for about a year now. It was one of my motivations to start losing weight - I thought "well of course your foot hurts, you know it shouldn't be carrying so much weight" and I didn't want to go to the…

I also thought you meant you used to put pudding in your coffee 😂 🤦🏻♀️

In my quest to increase my protein, I bought a box of red lentil pasta. It has 180 calories and 13g of protein, vs 200 cals and 7g protein in the pasta I normally buy. Used it to make mac and cheese today and it was delicious! I didn't notice any change in flavor and I actually liked the texture better than regular pasta!…

I've never really cooked or used beans in my food at home - just not something I grew up with, and hadn't yet explored them in my adult life. But I've been wanting to increase my protein and fiber intake, so I'm dipping my toe in this week. Lunch today was avocado and smashed white bean sandwich, dinner will be avocado and…

Day 1, I was at about 1000 cal deficit, Day 2 was 1000, Day 3 was around 750, and today is looking like it'll end up up around 600. I'd like to stay at a daily 500-600 cal deficit for the next few months but felt that I really needed to restrict the first couple of days to pull myself out of my "food vacuum" routines of…

Avocado pesto linguini for dinner tonight. It's creamy and comforting and so filling it's difficult to eat more than one serving!

@lauriekallis I'd been falling back into a lot of my old habits the past 6 weeks. Eating everything in the house, then heading right to the store to buy more - planning my next snack while still eating the current one - eating for comfort and just to have something to do. 4 days ago I said "that's enough." I had to sort of…

My workplace has already said they plan to return the office to pre-covid staffing levels by the end of April. Will they lose employees to more flexible employers? Probably, I know I've been putting in applications for any remote jobs I'm qualified for because I really don't want to go back. Do they care? Seemingly not.…

Today I got paint on a pair of sweatpants that I only just bought back in December. I was miffed at myself until I realized -- in 6+ months when it will be sweatpants weather again, these will probably be too big anyway!

So excited and happy for you @bmeadows380 ! Big changes coming!
