If you are eating 1800 calories you are exercising for about 600 calories per day? Is that correct?

I am new to MFP. How do I see what my weekly deficit of calories are? Exercise is pretty easy. It shows whether I am meeting weekly goals.

I am thinking of paying it. I'll let you know if the greater control offered by it is really worth it.

Not sure, but just thinking about having to choose what to show off is exciting and motivating. I think the fact that I have a trimmer midsection - nor more jelly belly - a genuine flat stomach.

Know you have good reasons for saying you are desperate, but don't see them in your post. You can celebrate marriage of 17 years, you are a cancer survivor (points, points, points). I see that you have are also a patient - you can pull it off again. Here is wishing you and hubby well.
