I am not a guy, and I have a love affair with excel :D Data and charts make me happy. Maths that does not add up make me unhappy. I tend to lose about 1lb a month, it's taken me 4 years to lose 85lbs but you know what? If I didn't make that change 4 years ago I'd still weigh 270lbs and probably have full blown type 2…

Lol yeah, I lay on my back and I can see my ribs poking out now. Tummy is almost flat. My knees are bony and uncomfortable, I don't know what to do with them. And I have collar bones - who knew.

Calories do look pretty low. Not enough food, not enough salt, bound to feel like rubbish. I take a magnesium tablet every day, and have a lot of salt, and I feel great but I know if I don't have enough salt I start to feel awful.

Something to note. Keto is great, but it's not magic. If you overeat on your calories you won't lose weight. What does that mean? You need to budget them for the day, preferably at the start of the day or the day before, so you know what you're going to eat and when. Make sure you have enough for dinner. I'm on 1430 cals.…

But only on one side? I don't think it's normal to experience this much discomfort. Also, we have a good quality mattress. I can't even sit in the lounge without favouring one side.

"I have some scars on my body, I used to hurt myself after I broke up with my ex-wife, I'm fine now I just wanted to tell you in case you see me naked later and get freaked out" ... on a first date with a guy I met through online dating. We're getting married in October.

You need a pint of vodka, and a gallon of ben and jerry's. Have a pity party. Like a proper one. Don't outstay your welcome though. Get it out of your system, pick your self up, and find a new purpose. Preferably one that does not involve relying on another human for your happiness. And trust that when it's right, the…

I don't go to the gym. People are gross. Sweating half naked people are even grosser. Or I should say sweating half naked strangers. Going to the gym is annoying and time consuming. I've also found it is not even remotely necessary to losing weight. There are plenty of other cleaner, cheaper ways of being active. But some…

I eat a lot of salt, on all of my meals. Salt is not a problem unless you have a medical condition. I do not retain water either, but I am low carb.

I lost my Dad last year at 68 from diabetes complications. He was a very sick man for 15 years. Diabetes destroyed his arteries and his heart, and the "diabetes" diet his specialist had him on was full of fruit and carbs and did not help him at all. My Dad is one of 9 siblings, all with type 2 diabetes or dead. My Cousins…

This is my second account, but I've been here about 11 years. Pretty sure in the early days we had to type our food in manually in DOS. Prior to here I was on a site called caloreking.com.au and man ... those were some angry hungry people lol.

This is a kinds ridiculous question. Lots of people start out using a structured plan to learn how and what to eat. Once you know what a day of calories/healthy eating looks like it's far easier to go it alone. Are you saying everyone should be able to just figure it out on their own? If they knew that much about nutrition…

I think some people are just klepto. I mean seriously. I work in a government office, lets just say no one here is poor, they get paid well above an average wage, and they are mostly women who have husbands who also make a living at least. And yet still they will take *kitten* that doesn't belong to them. They can't…

In my experience it's the carbs that create the cravings, and not enough protein. Try having a burger wrapped in lettuce rather than a bun if you have to have fast food. Skip the fries. Go easy on the sugar. I don't advocate a "cheat day" as it can tend to derail you and is not worth the hassle. I've been doing this 4…

One thing I have noticed over the last 20 years is that when I put all my food in my diary, even those days when I eat more, I'll stay on plan overall and lose weight. The minute I start winging it and not recording my food I go off track and gain weight. I have been tracking daily for 4 years straight now, and I'm down…

What do you think your TDEE is?
-
um ... as soon as you stop any "diet" the weight will all come back and then some ... I've never heard of it but it sounds like a calorie restricted meal plan on a 17 day cycle. I can't see it would be any different to any other way of restricting calories. Some people like the structure of being told what to eat to meet…

https://www.sunbeam.com.au/Cooking/Egg-Cookers/EC1300-Poach-and-Boil.aspx I bought one of these. Best thing ever. I get perfect eggs every time, never under or overcooked.

Mine has got a lot worse since being on a calorie restricted intake. More pain, longer bleeding. Is it diet related or coincidence? Who knows.
-
It certainly does. Last year I had to wear wide shaft knee boots in winter. This year I have a regular pair, and I can shove my hands inside the wide shaft ones they are so big.

Eggs being bad for your cholesterol is an old wives tale. You can eat as many as you want. I eat about 18 a week or more. They are a good, healthy, cheap source of protein.

My ex-husband and I are still friends, we do lunch about once a year just as a catch up. When we were together it was "I love you in spite of your weight" He was always thin but a couple of years ago when we had lunch he'd put on a bit of weight (he's late 40's now). He laughed and said "yeah if I keep going by this time…

You gotta stop caring what others think. Honestly. In all areas of life. It's not of anyone's business how much you weigh, what car you drive, where you live, what you do for a living, what clothes you wear, how you eat. You work out what makes you happy, be who YOU want to be, and ignore the haters. My MIL picks at me…

Hmm there was a few, several years ago - a couple of years after my divorce. There was the guy I met once for a drink who asked me right then and there if I liked ... well, no, I don't and it's not a first date kinda question. Then there was the guy who seemed really nice but really only wanted me to do disgusting things…

It's okay to just watch your carbs if this means that you will naturally eat under your weigh loss calorie target. For many people this is not the case. It's easy to eat too many calories when your diet is high fat. An extra 500 calories means no weight loss and it's incredibly easy to do. I've been keto for over 4 years,…
