Walk a lot. It's great for you and for baby. I use a Fitbit to track my steps and aim for 11500 steps/day, which is 10k + the roughly 15% estimated over counted "steps" because my Fitbit is the wristband kind. I walked a ton during my first pregnancy and it kept the swelling down. Also, despite gaining nearly 50lbs I lost…

Yes I do. A good store bought mayo doesn't contain raw eggs though, or it wouldn't be shelf stable before opening. I'm aware of the salmonella risk in raw eggs. I craved and drank raw milk for baby #1 and it was one of the few things I could keep down during morning sickness.

Congrats on keeping up the weight lifting! I got slammed with morning sickness at 5 weeks and had to quit doing physical activity. Anything that raised my body temperature sent me into fit of sickness. Even walking was awful. Most of it has passed now.

I've had tuna salad four days in a row now! I keep eyeballing sardines and hoping that I can handle the smell, but not yet. Oysters and clam chowder have been high on my "must have" list this pregnancy. I make a tasty tuna salad using Wild Planet albacore, diced celery and leaves (fresh parsley works too), diced red…

Congrats on the pregnancies, ladies! I'm 17weeks preggers with #2 and I've been sick since week 5. This blows. I lost weight in the beginning and managed to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight over about 5 weeks. I ate like crap which is not at all normal for me. Outback cheese fries and a bucket of ranch has been the only…

I would say hello or give a casual nod, maybe toss in some chit chat about dogs (I always have one with me) or remark on the weather.

Oh, but there has to be an end to eating the butter! Someone hide the butter dish from me please. I'm not good about moderation when butter is involved, particularly Kerrygold. Or when I can get fresh cream from the farmer's market I make my own butter. Yum.

Butter is/was my thing too, but I knew how "expensive' those calories were. And yet.... I ate it anyway.

Hiya Leeloo, Feel free to send a friend request my way. I'm also a mom and I'm trying to shed post-baby weight. It can be tough with sitting all the time. I've done little things like print to the printer on the opposite end of the building so I have to walk there, walk on lunch breaks, and prepare delicious healthy…

It helps a lot. Evenings are the worst.

Fasting?

I just took my dogs for a walk to avoid a similar problem. Already blew my calorie budget and then some.

Yum! You're the best. :)
