  • I always try to make sure I can have two snacks per day. Some favorites: mini caramel rice cakes, 100 calorie cashew pack, multi grain crackers with peanut butter, light popcorn, and banana.
  • Absolutely yes!!!!
  • I am in the midst of the30 day shred and love it. You can also check on popsugar fitness. They put stuff up all the time. I also do intervals like 2 minutes jogging in place, a minute of burpees, another 2 minutes of jogging, a minute of jumping jacks, etc. you can do that for a total of 30 minutes (basically switching up…
  • I am the mother of four. I don't really get to rest lol. Usually for exercise, I will rest with a long walk or yoga.
  • I have been a vegetarian for thirty plus years. It can be a very healthy lifestyle...and sometimes it isn't. I am an ethical vegetarian so I think everyone should be vegetarian/vegan lol. In my journey towards eating better, I am focusing on adding more protein and vegetables. I think that it is better on focusing on what…
  • If I am going to,ask someone for nutrition advice, I am going to ask someone who is an actual nutritionist who may have a degree or two to back up,the information that they give- not someone who decided they would make some extra cash by selling a diet system.
  • I am so sick of hearing about shakeology and21 day fix. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the so called hate is due. The overexposure. These beach body coaches are like freaking leaches and I especially loathe my "friends" who have decided to use our FB friendship as a means to relentlessly plug their product. There is no…
  • I am vegetarian. Feel free to add me.
  • I agree with what others say- post partum weight has a tendency to come off quickly (well, for some).
  • My scale sucks. It is an old fashioned analog scale but I did buy it recently. I have found that if I get on it slowly and then off slowly, it tends to be more reliable. With that said, whileI am not sure how much I believe the actual number it gives me, I do believe that my weight is going down as I see a general…
  • I started out with the 21 day fix workouts and then moved onto various popsugar fitness workouts and cafe moms studios. I am on day 9 on the 30 day shred and so far, love it. I plan on moving to ripped in 30 next.
  • Sometimes you. Can reach your calorie goal and still feel famished at the end of the day. When that happens to me, I re-evaluate what I have eaten over the day. Some foods just don't have the same lasting power. For instance, on most days I have an egg/veggie frittata and roasted veggies for lunch. The other day I tried a…
  • If you really have a physical problem with any specific exercise then look into alternatives. Defintely get an exercise matt. Sometimes it takes time to build up strength, etc. to do as many reps as the instructor is doing. I ask myself if I am being lazy or can I really not do it? Do as many reps as you can. You will get…
  • I have been doing the 30 day shred plus cardio intervals for 20 minutes. I have also added near nightly walks into my routine. Popsugar fitness has some good videos as well as cafemom studios and Jessica Smith. Also, look on Pinterest (I will preview the video to see what I like). Youtube is great for free stuff and you…
  • FWIW: I love ranch dressing lol. I like Ken's Lite and use it sparingly. Also, my family has had pizza on Fridays for as long as I can remember. No way am I giving it up! So, I just have it once a week. I will have two slices and/or will have some roasted veggies as a side. I have become very focused on adding more…
  • I love diet soda. In fact, I know I am addicted to it. It is my biggest vice and I don't care lol. I make sure that I drink lots of water. As far as it increasing sugar cravings, I find that what really induces my sugar cravings is simply eating something sugary (not that I totally abstain). Diet soda doesn't do this to me.
  • I am vegetarian as well. If you look in the recipe message board, you will see a post about vegetarian recipes.
  • Skinnytaste has tons of really good vegetarian recipes. I drink a yogurt smoothie for breakfast every day (yogurt, frozen strawberries and blueberries banana, splash of milk). If you use Greek yogurt, you can really increase your protein intake. For lunch, I often eat Skinnytaste's Carmelized Onion, Red Pepper, and…
  • FWIW: my kids and husband are not really interested in the foods that I like to eat or healthy food in general lol. I tend to make myself large portions of what I like and then freeze it in portions. That way I have on hand what I like and then make the stuff that they like so I am not cooking a whole bunch of stuff at…
  • I don't know if anyone has said this but before I go shopping I tend to plan my meals for the week and from there I create a shopping list. This just works on so many different levels and most definitely helps as far as eating the "right" foods. I would advise going on Skinnytaste as well as Pinterest (search for clean…
