Thank you for your post! I figured not moving enough could be part of the problem. I've been mainly sedentary since I'm home for the summer but will try to go for a long walk at least once a day. Hopefully that will help my weight budge. I'm sorry - I didn't quite phrase my post clearly. I meant that maybe I shouldn't be…

Thanks for your helpful advice and encouragement! :) I just changed my settings and MFP suggested 1430 calories per day to lose 1lb per week.

Thanks for the reply! :) I actually don’t use a HR monitor but usually eat back 50% of my exercise calories. I also currently use a food scale and even weigh my produce (sucks because I love fruit!!) I am now thinking that maybe I shouldn’t be doing this anymore...

I think it probably varies from person to person because we all have different body types. I am 5'5 and started at 227 and now I am now 178. At my heaviest, I was a size 18 and now I can fit into a size 16. I carry most of my weight in my waist and thighs so that is probably why I only went down 1 pants size.

I was on it last year for 3 months and lost 30 pounds. However, I fell off track and gained 10 pounds back due to my dad getting extremely sick and me being stressed from college. I recently started up again 3 weeks ago and have lost 4 pounds total. I'm really pleased with the results from this but I still feel like I'm…

I'm 5'5 and started at 230 pounds and now I'm down to 195. My goal is to get down to 130. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

When I initially started my diet, I ate only 1200 calories a day and exercised 5-6 times a week for 60 mins (+ 30 mins of weight training 3 times a week). I found that eating that amount of calories was way too low for me (5'5 female, 219 pounds). I'm now eating around 1500 calories every day and I feel like I have so much…

You can still have junk food as long as you limit yourself. I still have pizza but limit myself to 1-2 slices so I'm able to eat under 1300 calories.

That's amazing that you lost that much weight! You're doing a great job. :)

I'm 18 as well and am looking to lose almost 100 pounds, sending you a friends request. :)

MFP automatically adds on the calories you burn during cardio exercises onto your daily goal. Personally, I don't really touch the calories I burn from exercise as I've heard MFP tends to overestimate them. If your trainer recommends you should be eating 1866, I'd just stick with that and leave the exercise calories alone…

I'm in the same boat as you, wanting to lose 2lbs a week.

Hi, I'm 18 too. It's nice to see that there are other teens using this site. I have about 100 pounds that I'm looking to lose. Feel free to add me! I also like some anime and have played Legend of Zelda video games since I was a kid.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I just wasn't sure if doing cardio alone was a good idea or not. Now I will try to look into more strength work outs I can try a few times a week.

My goal weight is 130 pounds (5'5 female). I'm currently 230 (lost 10 so far).
