I am really struggling with this right now. I am not very good at being intrinsically motivated. I need a date, a weight and a reason to get there. Right now, I have none of those. A year ago, I needed to lose 65 lbs by a certain date (July21) to go on a 10 day backpacking expedition with my kids. I met my goal, made…

Thanks y'all. I had thought about Lasix, but I have to have normal, unmedicated BP for this. Sounds like Potassium and lots of water, which is kind of counterintuitive, is my best bet.
-
Thanks guys! I will check out potassium. I had even considered voluntarily putting myself through pre-colonoscopy prep to "clear out the pipes", but that doesn't match very well with flying. :o Any others?

And before the discussion starts. Yes, I know it isn't healthy. Yes, I know it isn't fair. This is an externally imposed weight limit based on outdated and debunked information ( 70 year old USDA height/weight chart). I didn't choose it. It was chosen for me.

Wondering what happened. I haven't read anything about skating or curling in a couple days.

Waiting for my turn in the shower.

Just bought airline tickets for 11 people. We are off to Philmont in July! WooHoo!

Taxes.
-
Thanks. It has been a weird day.

Eating birthday cake. Watching my calorie goal get shredded, and listening to my arteries harden.
-
I confess that I miserably failed to make my birthday dinner and cake fit into my calorie goals. Better luck tomorrow! "One year older and closer to death. But Happy Birthday!"

Utz's Potato chips make an old bay flavored chip. I forget what they call it

1. This set building gig will either kill me or keep me young. I'm having a blast. 2. High school kids are supremely weird...but lots of fun. 3. Advil, an Advil, my kingdom for an Advil!

Still waiting on this baby giraffe. And being slightly -kitten-ed off. Partially at AmTrak, partially at myself. I let them delay for too long, and now there are no seats available for my trip this summer. Grrrrrrr.

Pictures will be required.

Oh, I haven't forgotten. Just ignored. And not cared. Tired and bored of the same monotonous food. Suffering from diet burnout. Loss of motivation. Sick of food prep and planning. Done with counting every bite that goes in my mouth. Just over the whole thing.
-
I confess that I haven't logged a bite of food in weeks. I basically eat the same thing every day, so why bother. In other news, the scale has stopped moving. It is possible that these two things are related.

I love what I do, but I do not love the venue or circumstances. I do not like being under-utilized. I do not like "starting over" again, for the fourth time. I do not like being self-employed. I am not an entrepreneur. But , needs= must.

Going back to the High School in a few minutes. Hopefully finishing the Von Trapp villa today. But first....Coffee.
-
Fifty is painful. Literally. Everything hurts. Hands, elbows, shoulders, knees, hips, feet, neck. Everything.
-
I worked on the set for "Sound of Music" for almost 11 hours today. One more good solid day and the von Trapps will have a place to live! I'm exhausted.
-
Finally a nice day with no other commitments. Deck building today! Right now...COFFEE!

Is it weird that I read your posts in Christopher Walken's voice?
-
I confess I think he has to get in (a very long) line. @synchkat is quite Crushworthy

@dc8066 Get a bottle of Tincture of Benzoin. Paint the problem spots on your feet with it, then cover with duct tape. Do this 4 or 5 days in a row. It stinks, but it helps toughen the skin. This method has gotten me through 6 marathons, Ironman Triathlon, and two 100 mile backpacking treks. Philmont?

Researching "Piriformis Syndrome". What a pain in the @$$,

In the middle of rehearsals for Sound of Music right now...local High School Production. Our Mother Abbess is in full tilt diva mode, and did not show up for rehearsal today. Ugh. 16 years old and already difficult to work with!

First day of spring.

Home from my class. I now know how to reduce a separated shoulder, improvise a traction splint, and make a human burrito for backcountry evacuation. Two weekends sleeping on the ground. My Sciatic Nerve is NOT Happy!

I confess, I am slightly perturbed. My 198 day MFP Log in streak will end tomorrow. I will be offline, unplugged in the woods. Not concerned about not logging food, since all calories consumed outdoors do not count. ;) Sad about the end of the streak just short of 200. :(
