Right?? I've recently gone vegan and all the "informative" videos I've watched have been like "don't restrict!" Although I find that I still need to calorie restrict on a vegan diet depending on what I'm eating
-
Crazy.
-
I use my Fitbit Charge HR to see my daily caloric burn and generally eat 500 under my calculated TDEE. I find it easier than the MFP Net method.
-
Oh I won't be don't worry! It just saddens me that they actually believe they can eat at a caloric surplus and still lose weight which goes against EVERYTHING scientific of weight loss. *sigh*
-
I don't restrict that much (-500 cals from my TDEE daily) so I don't feel personally I'm at risk of yoyoing so it's so crazy to me when these people try to claim restricting is bad for you! Unless they're referring to EXTREME restricting...
-
Okay good. This is making me feel less crazy LOL
-
See that would make sense if they actually were but like I've read articles of people who said they were eating like 3000+ cals a day of "good" calories and losing weight like are they just lying?? It's so hard to wrap my head around
-
It works for a lot of people! That's why I don't understand people who can lose weight by eating an abundance of "good calories" vs restricting and eating whatever you want. I prefer the latter and don't understand the former!
-
That's literally what is so mind boggling to me because CICO is the science of weight loss and people are trying to debunk it like?? They're using "not all calories are created equal" as an excuse to consume more
-
Yes amen!!
-
It's so frustrating to me! Like I've lost nearly 45 pounds by counting calories, weighing my food and regularity exercising and there's people trying to say the method "doesn't work" and is "wrong"
-
I'm all about dat click bait
-
Like its my grandmas homemade soup so I don't have nutrition info but I was wondering if it would be measured in grams, ml, fluid ounces, ounces etc.
-
The consistency is throwing me off
-
Thanks for the reply!!
-
Thank you very much for the response! That makes a lot of sense :)
-
Coming from a CICO mindset for weight loss I'm trying to assess the validity
-
Thanks for the replies!
-
It's completely a personal choice, you may find you're happy at 135 anyways!
-
Don't go by what other people say! Go by what is good for YOU
-
That's like my dad! My height weight was 165 and here's my dad who's way taller than me at 145. Well now I'm at 137 and shrinking more everyday so take that dad LOL
-
Good luck!
-
Fair enough!
-
Yes very true. Thanks for advice guys!
-
Okay thanks for the input! This is the second time going over maintenance in two weeks due to school stress and other factors.
-
Oh and I forgot to say my TDEE was calculated with the 3-5 exercise a week option.
-
Slow is better than gaining or maintaining you're doing great. Congrats!
-
Oh man. I wish I had a higher TDEE. I should work out 6-7 times a week instead of 3-5. I've just been so busy lately!! Gotta find ways to make time.
-
You got this!
-
I'm your exact height. I wonder if we have the same body type too!
