I believe you can still tone your pre-existing muscle, you just can't create new tissue?

You've got this!! What really keeps me going is logging consistently, having that deficit is key :) but I would recommend not going too low, it gets dangerous if a woman goes below 1200 Cals a day and if a guy goes below around 1500 a day. It's about dedication to making healthier choices for yourself :)

Yeah! Thanks for the advice :) my goal is around 1600-1650 and I burn an extra 300-500 calories 3-5 times a week
-
Awesome to know. Thank you! I use TDEE I usually eat like 500-800 under it so like even if I exercise like 400 since the TDEE accounts for exercise calorie burn then I have nothing to worry about right?
-
Okay cool, I'm just afraid of going into "starvation mode" if I burn and don't eat much back
-
Cool thanks!
-
That's so interesting to know
-
Okay very good points! Thanks everyone :)

Me too?? Omg I wonder if we are from the same town lol

I'm 5"4 and my starting weight was 165 at the end of April and by the end of August I lost 19.5 pounds (in 4 months) so it is a reasonable goal if you stick with it!

An automobile tire :D

That does seem high. I just changed your age and it said almost the same thing as what I said before. But if you're happy where you are now, stay there! In the grand scheme of things it's just a number, 5 pounds won't make that much of a difference :)

There are calculators online to help you find the ideal weight for your body. Google some and see what they say! If you're happy with your body and where you're at though, there is no need to stress, just be happy with your progress :) if you're rounding your height up (I'm 5"3.75 I know your pain haha) the healthy weight…

My friend swears by it. Apparently it boosts metabolism :)

Nice!! Good luck.

Omg my program is only 4 years and I'm going into 3rd LOL your last bit of advice tho hahahahah Thank you both!
-
Good advice!

Omg my friend has one of the adult colouring books! Lol she loves it. And I actually quit drinking when I started to lose weight so that won't be an issue either. I'm not really on a specific "diet" I just try to do 20 min of cardio a day, strength train 6 times a week and eat between 1500-1700 cals. I've lost 18 pounds…

Thanks for all the replies! I know we will all hit our goals!
-
Thanks LOL it's certainly been an interesting debate

Thanks for all the input! I'm logging literally everything I eat and I usually try to overestimate if I'm not sure of the portion/calorie ratio. Lately I've been almost at an 800 cal deficit (my TDEE is 2200 I've been eating 1400-1700) but I haven't been doing as vigorous of exercises lately

I'm 5 3 and 3/4 lolol. Good luck on your weight loss journey! You'll be amazing.
-
Oh wow thanks for all the helpful advice! How do I find the Fitbit group??

I am 5"4 and started my journey with 50 to lose! I've lost 15 so far :)
