So, here's a win when going out to eat. At the greasy coffee shop near work, I would occasionally order a grilled chicken sandwich w/out the bun. I would get a partial chicken breast (trimmed down to bun size) with a tomato, lettuce, and a slice of onion. I would load it up with mayo. It was $5.50. Last week, I decided to…

Everyone can add me as well! I love having LCHF/Keto friends. I try to comment as I can, but life gets busy sometimes. I've been going solid since July of 2015.

Way to go! Keep up the great work!

In other news, the earth is not flat and and sun does not revolve around the earth.

You are doing great, but it will slow down. Just remember this time when you go through a 2-3 week stall. It will come. It all evens out.

My hands get colder, but at night when sleeping, I am hotter. I guess I get a bit of both. Usually, my body is pretty warm at night, but while LCHFing, it becomes even hotter. It's all well and good until my wife puts her cold feet on my legs or back. LOL She's freezing and needs some warmth.

No diet soda for me. I do have seltzer water or other bubbly water, but that's it for carbonation. Mostly stick to tea and water. I do find that diet soda starts my carb cravings. I'm in such a good place with zero interest for sugars or carbs, I don't want to risk it with anything with fake sugars or sugar substitutes…

You are doing fantastic @panda_pants!! Keep up the wonderful work! You are really an inspiration. Seeing changes like you are going through give me encouragement to push ahead.

I love this thread! Keep posting these NSVs. They are so motivating.

I guess I never realized there was a difference. I just buy the heavy cream that has the fewest ingredients. I prefer Deans Diary Pure Heavy Cream. Heavy Cream is the only ingredient.

Agree with those above. Black, Oolong, Green, White, Pu-erh and even non-tea teas like Rooibos and Herbal are all fine unless they are sweetened. I drink 6-8 cups a day and have had no issues at all losing weight.

Hi Renee - I'm not currently in the area, but I grew up not far from there. More than willing to add some online support if I can.

Anyone can add me as a friend. I'm more than happy to help out anyway that I can. Many people here are much smarter than me, but I have been doing this off and on for almost 10 years. This time I will stick with it. I have been doing this steady since July and am down almost 45 pounds. You can do it too!

Here's dinner tonight. Broiled Porkchops with smashed avocados and lots of dripping butter.
-
Congrats on sticking with it! It's worth it! So happy things are moving again.

I don't log what I cook with, but do log what I put on my food. If I use Coconut Oil to saute some chicken or veggies, I don't count that, but if I throw a big pat of butter on it when I am eating, I count the butter.

Hi Sydney. Most Low Carbers hang out here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group Some great info and a lot of great people.

Sorry. No help here. I have had very limited exposure to Diabetes. Will keep your daughter and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you and/or the docs figure out what is wrong.

I don't eat many eggs. Most mornings I drink tea with Heavy cream and eat a bit of cheese. Sometimes it is ham or bacon for breakfast. Lunchmeat and cheese roll-ups are good. Cold Chicken is great for breakfast. So is cold fathead pizza.

Welcome to the forum! Glad to help out any way we can.

I often get looks as well. If anyone asks me, I just let them know I have already lost 40 pounds and I'm enjoying eating fat to get thin.
-
:yum: We had no leftovers of our wings, but we may need to make them again soon. They were so good!!

I'll have to throw "Heavy Tea" out there. It is awesome. I know many of you have heard me talk about it, but for those that haven't, I take a cup of stronger tea, typically a flavored black or herbal, and add 1 tbsp of Coconut Oil, 2 oz of Heavy Cream, and 1 tsp of unsweetened Cocoa powder. It turns many of teas into a…

Just wings and rib tips for me. Wings were lunch and rib tips were for during the game. They were quite good. No real recipe, just made them on the fly.

Great post! I'll post the same thing here that I put in my newsfeed this morning. "Use today to get back on track if you have been struggling. Go shopping and get some good food, do some meal planning, take time to make a nicer meal that requires more prep. Enjoy the journey today."

Hi Yvonne. I follow keto/LCHF and have been using it off and on for about 10 years. I've been going strong since July of 2015. Down 40 pounds. You (or anyone) can feel free to add me as a friend. Also, that is a great group that Phrick pointed out. Lots of great people and good info there.

I make "Heavy Tea" which is a cup of tea (typically something yummy like Vanilla Mint Pu Erh, Java Fusion Black Tea, Cinnamon Plum Herbal, Creme Brulee Royale Black) and then after it is made, use a stick blender to add in 2 oz heavy cream, 1 tbsp of coconut oil, and 1 tsp of Unsweetened Cocoa. It is savory and no sugar…
