check out dr. eric berg on youtube he helped me understand that their is often more going on than meets the eye ei... thyroid, adrenals, etc... good luck I get why you would be frustrated, also I watched the Elle Ip documentary on youtube and it helped understand the patience end of things.

Del taco has a new chicken fresco taco on corn tortillas on their dollar menu and I add a slice of avocado to each. Also I love Wendy's salads and if you have el pollo loco they have great chicken tacos and salads, again I like to order a side of avocados for the tacos and extra pico.

Mexican with corn chips and corn tortillas is a nice go to. Also you have Asian with it's rice based dishes lettuce wraps or broth based soups.
