  • Weight loss tends to be dramatic at first due to water loss, also if one has a lot to lose. Otherwise 9lbs would be too much. The general theory is that slow/steady loss is sustainable and rapid loss could mean losing muscle.

  • Thanks, I try to stay well within the allowance. I tend to verify calories burned according to MFP with those from machine displays at the gym.
