oh, ok!! I was looking at the bottom of the calculator...I see it now. So I should be taking in 1500 calories per day? Also, is weighing better unit of calorie determination than using a measuring cup?

sorry poonamuma. I kind of budged in. You and I are having the same problem, so it was a great question.

my height is 67 inches tall, 190lbs, goal weight is 160 (53 and F)

toxikon, I've never done this, and I am struggling to lose weight as well, I put my info into the calculator. My TDEE is 1026...so I should only be eating 526 calories per day to lose weight? I'm fairly active (step classes and weight lifting 4-5 times a week).

It is tough, especially when you don't see the results on the scale. I've been going on 4 weeks, and haven't really noticed anything on the scale....but in inches, I can totally feel it. Don't use the scale as your only means of measuring your success. The goal is to be healthy and fit. I think the scale is so detrimental…

what app are you using?

, Ketorach, this is an actual disorder. nocturnal sleep-related eating disorder ...google it.

I have been working my *kitten* off going to the gym, and for the most part (TBH) eating well...I slip a few times. Carbs are my kryptonite. But, I have not lost a pound over the past 3 weeks....wth?!! Getting discouraged and frustrated. Could it be menopause? I'm 53'ish... lol

I am in the same boat as you. I am working out and lifting weights and the scale is not reflecting what I'm putting in for effort. I think it's muscle gain, and fat loss. Muscle weighs more than fat.

I'm in the same boat as both of you. I did recommit to working out...I just made myself go...after you go the first time...it's easy to go the second, third, etc....it's just that first time. I am trying to watch what I eat..but do get the cravings as well. I've resorted to keeping almonds close at hand...but they sure…
