I do a mix of fresh and frozen so I have plenty of veggies. I'll pin some vegan recipes, that's a great idea!

We eat venison a lot in the fall (hunting season) but I will try picking up some bison in the city, we would enjoy that and it's fairly lean, correct? She and her siblings eat a tong of fruit, but I try to limit my fruit so I don't typically snack on fruit. Unfortunately we're pretty rural so she doesn't have a lot of…

For anyone curious, this website has great information about food allergies, and any current (clinical) research on immunotherapy https://www.foodallergy.org/facts-and-stats

I am not putting a microwave in my 7yo's bedroom, I don't even cook our family good in a microwave. and cooking these foods in my house can be deadly for her, not to mention the psychological effects of taking that kind of stance. She deals with being left out everywhere we go, I am not bringing that home. I want to be…

Okay then.

She has a rare genetic disorder responsible for her allergies, so it's like telling someone they can 'heal' cycstic fibrosis through diet.
-
Please don't suggest that allergies can be healed. For those who suffer anaphylaxis (like the OPs child) even attempting to try the things they are allergic to can KILL them. I constantly have to tell well meaning relatives that while allergy shots may have worked for them, they can KILL (allergy shots work by exposing you…

To clarify, she is allergic to all poultry, all fish and shellfish. I don't even think I would be comfortable with a toaster oven, as I would have to buy paper plates and forks for it to go on. I actually do meal plan, consistently, buts it's basically the same things over and over again lol. We aren't near the grocery…

I quit drinking diet soda because I found myself feeling like I needed it, and getting headaches if I didn't have one :) Ha they said no smuggling. This will be when my giant tote of a purse comes in handy lol.
-
I'm going to look for that, it sounds yummy

I've always thought you weren't allowed to bring your own snacks? I'll call and ask! I could bring some string cheese and rice crackers Our movie theater is actually pretty cool, they pop the popcorn fresh (you can watch) and because I have a kid with food allergies I've read the ingredients and it's basically palm oil and…

I'm not a huge fan of spaghetti lol, I really prefer my grilled chicken salad :) and since we eat at 5:30, a lighter dinner means I'm not in trouble when I want a small snack at 7pm I usually take a 'bite' of whatever I made the kids though to make sure the flavors are right and all that, I'm Italian, were tasters lol. I'm…

Yup, I cook all meals too and attempt to keep my house clean on my own lol (with three kids and homeschooling not always happening lol) so I'm on my feet all day.

^i like to try new things to see if I like them, I don't want to buy something and have the teenager think it's gross lol. I don't mind logging the calories, as most of them are easy to log, if they look complicated I skip them. But yup all those calories can add up if you aren't paying attention.

Ya, I've made a very conscious effort to not nibble on my kids food when they don't finish, it adds up! I went ahead and just lowered my cal goal another 50, so I have a total of 150 cal buffer from the reccomended calories to cover things:) And I for sure don't add household chores as work out as for me, as a SAHM it…

That's a good idea, maybe I'll walk to the mail. Hubby thinks that about the samples at Costco lol, he says you work them walking around lol.

No joke, if it was something fairly healthy I don't even think about it, but with the pasta I was a little worried. I did lower my calories from the recommend 1750 to 1650 so I have a 100cal cushion for miscalculations. I try to log absolutely everything, I very much want this to work:)

Thank you! That's a great representation!

I had to quit cold turkey, stepping down wasn't working for me. Now I drink an energy supplement in the AM (for me I like advocare spark) and then infused or plain water
-
Thanks for trouble shooting with me :) I'll definitely take all these tips into account:) I did just infused water for the three days before starting. Could definitely be hormonal ect. Hopefully I'll see a loss next week :) Definitely takes the wind out of your sails though!

How do You politely decline or avoid eating out invites from family if your avoiding sodium? My large extended family typically eats out once a week at local places and then on Sunday's I drive my daughter to the city for 5 hours of practice, during which I usually grab lunch with my other two kids (this is when I opted…

I'm not sure why you think I'm not under my calories every day? That was kinda disheartening :-/ I use a food scale, liquid and dry measuring cups and spoons for everything. When I ate at Panda Express I had them put half a normal serving on the plate, then shared what was on the plate with two of my kids. That was the…

Thank you <3 that's totally possible :)

That makes sense, I think I just panicked after so many failed diets and lots of people saying they lost x amount of weight the first week.

Sw: guessing, need to go buy a scale 275 gw: 130lbs 5'4" 27 I have no idea what I'm doing ;p but my weight has crept up over the last 5 years and that's just not okay! I've got three little kids under 6 and no gym available. And crap will power :-/
