  • I take Advil, probably 2-4 a day (I get shots too). I know it's a lot but my doc said it was ok. I have a degenerative issue in my left knee, and I've been approved for a knee replacement already (I'm 35) but we are trying to wait until we have one more baby. I think I need to start looking for a different pain killer.
  • My boyfriend has the build of a body builder, and he spends about 3 hours a day working out. He is huge, and it's muscle...yet he is just as self-conscious as me. I am so attracted to how big and strong he is though. I am "thick" and he makes me feel small lol...not to mention, I always feel safe with him. People always…
  • I'm reading through this, and it got me that it makes me so mad. The media tells us all of the time that we should be ashamed of ourselves. It doesn't matter what size we are, the color of our skin, or what we look like. From day one we are told that we need to be better. We are pointing out our flaws, and trying to change…
  • I had an ex tell his "mistress" that he never dated me (after 5 years), because he would never date someone that looked like me. That was years ago, and leaving him was the best thing I have ever done, but that stuck with me. Now I have an amazing bf that prefers me to be a little bigger. He supports me being healthy and…
  • Oh yeah, I am expecting the worst for exactly that reason. When I was pregnant and could t drink caffeine, I suffered for a good while.
  • I think at this point I should be more concerned with the amount of caffeine I drink, than whether to count it as water!
  • That is good to know! Good info.
  • That's exactly my thought, but for some reason I feel guilty counting it lol.
  • MFP ate my last sentence...I wrote that I haven't had a MD in over 7 years because my weight melted off when I stopped drinking it.
  • Body Pump definitely gets easier, and after 2-3 times, you won't have that torturous soreness that lingers for a week afterwards lol. I love body pump and have done it on and off for years, and just recently started again. Like others have said, you will transition to lifting heavier weights in the gym, if you stick with…
  • I had to eat more to lose, for sure. 1200 was way too low for me, and is for most people. It definitely is if you workout.
  • This really does wonders
  • This is me exactly...L shirt (sometimes M) and 12/14 pants. I am 5'6 and 200.
  • Reading this really wakes me up to how we all have different body types, and one size really doesn't fit all. I'm 170 pounds in this picture and that is my goal weight again, so I have 30 pounds to lose to get there. I don't want to be any smaller than this, but according to all of the charts, 170 is too heavy. I guess the…
  • Lol I'm shooting for 170. I lift a lot of weights so I weight 204 right now, and wear a L shirt and 12/14 jeans. I want to work on my fitness but keep my curves too.
  • I forgot to add, tracking steps for me is very important. I may not consider it exercise but it definitely allows for a higher daily allowance of caloric intake.
  • I believe it's soley related to movement and not necessarily fitness. I track my calories and steps, and add workouts on top of my steps. I don't not consider my steps to be exercise in any way.
  • I had knee surgery last summer because of cartilage degeneration. Unfortunately, the damage was too severe, and I had three areas of bone on bone (one of those was weight bearing), and a torn miniscus. They cleaned up what they could and approved me for a knee replacement. I am only 35 years old, so I'm trying to hold off…
  • When my boyfriend of 5 years cheated on me, and told the other woman that he "never dated me because he would never date someone who looked like me." I began losing weight for revenge, but then realized it was the best thing that could have happened to me, and then I started losing weight for me. Funny enough, I wasn't…
  • Oh goodness, you are about to get torn up on MFP for even asking about it. I've taken it before and I've been very successful. I can't say I recommend it though because most of the people I know use it the wrong way, and end up worse off. If you can use it short term to break habits and jump start your plan, I think it's…
  • I gained weight extremely fast when I came off, like 9 pounds in two weeks. I told myself it was water weight by it never went away. It was disheartening...and now Ive struggled with irregular periods since coming off. I may go to the doc soon and see if they can figure out what is going on. I am definitely not pregnant.
  • Yup...officially a member of the big hips/butt/legs group.
  • Kinda off topic, but maybe y'all can help. I have HUGE calves, but I want to find some of the compression capris with different patterns. The thing is, they rarely make them for "plus size" and the definitely are all "skinny jean" fit. LoL I can't even get them over my calves!! Anyone know of any brands for curvy girls?
  • Girl I have been there! It's impossible to see now, but one day you will look back and see this as a stepping stone. My ex now has two kids with the other woman, and she is constantly telling everyone who will listen that he cheats on her and is a horrible boyfriend. I look at my boyfriend today and realize I couldn't be…
  • About 8 years ago I was preparing for college graduation, and my boyfriend and I were talking about buying out first house together. A week before graduation I found out he had been cheating on me. One of the worst parts was when the other woman told me that he denied ever dating me, because he would never date someone who…
  • I took this photo for my boyfriend, but it shows part of my body. I carry my weight in the thighs and butt, for sure. I was raised to be ashamed of it, but now I would rather be cu
  • Yes!! Your toenails will fall off. And running becomes a "need", not a "want". I am still struggling mentally that I can't use running as an outlet anymore.
  • 5'7 and 35 years old. I am currently at 204 and my first goal is 190. I work out 5 times a week between boxing at Title Gym, cardio and lifting weights.
  • Absolutely!!!
