Day 12 complete!

Day 11 done! Did 60 squats, then 60 crunches, then 60 squats -- all in one exercise session, but felt I should split up the squats somehow.

When I was on a cruise this summer I vowed to remain active (made sure I got at least 15,000 steps a day) and as for eating, I ate healthy, sensible choices at least through lunch. Then I would be a little more lenient with dinner, dessert and evening drinks. I still came back 8lbs heavier, but those pounds disappeared…

Day 1 in the books!

I'd like to try this!
-
Well done - I agree with other posters - you look so much younger now! Congratulations!

I've never heard of this, but I think I will give it a go. I've never tried protein powder in my life, but I'm always looking for more protein.

Normally, I have this for breakfast: http://www.goodfoodmadesimple.com/our-food/turkey-sausage-bowl/ Today, I had it about two hours earlier than usual because I got up early to go for a walk before it heated up outside. Does starting to eat earlier make you more hungry all day?

Could be premenstrual . . . in fact it probably is. I'm in my 40's and my cycles are a bit unpredictable (perimenopause, I believe), but I was up a couple of pounds this morning for no good reason so maybe I'm going to start my period. Doesn't make me less hungry though.

I was wondering this myself. Interesting to hear that periods can disappear when you are not underweight per BMI. I am 43 and haven't had a period since early May, my period app tells me my period is 53 days late. I'm not pregnant (tubes tied in 2009 after kiddo #3). I have lost 100lbs since July 2015, but am nowhere near…

We were only allowed one drink with dinner (at home or at a restaurant). It came long before I was born; I think one of my older siblings would fill up on milk and not eat his or her food. I remember once when I was at a restaurant with a friend's family and the server asked my friend if she'd like another Coke and she…

For better or for worse, I weigh daily.

I do have a free day every week. I suppose I am fitting it into my calorie goals on a weekly basis - most days I am under my calorie (+ exercise calorie) goals; while on my free day I am over my goal. If you looked at my calories in/out on a weekly basis, instead of a daily basis, I probably match up with people who fit in…

No, not a runner. I probably would get @5,000 with just life. During the school year, I walk my youngest to school (3,000 steps) before work. During the summer, I try to go for a walk, either one long one or two shorter ones a day to get the other 10,000. I like to walk with a purpose, so I'll walk to our little downtown…

You better believe it! It was a completely different vacation. My feet barely hurt despite day after day of walking around theme parks, no swelling, abundance of energy, etc. That feeling just inspires me more every day. My methods are not all that exciting. I just strived for something that I thought would be sustainable…

Yes! I've lost 100, but while I know I don't look the same (I certainly don't feel the same physically; in much better shape of course), I can't wrap my mind around my current size. Recently, we were at a crowded place, waiting for the gates to open and I asked my husband if my size was like that of "person A" over there.…

My teenage daughter is type 1 and through trial and error, we have learned that we need to dose (at the same rate as carbs) for about 1/3 of the protein in her meals. In addition, high fat meals slow the absorption of carbohydrates so whenever she eats out (especially pizza and Mexican), she has to split her bolus, giving…

Thanks everyone! Seems unanimous - take a short break from MFP. Probably for the best. I hate to give up my (what will then be) 300+ day streak, but it's pretty impractical. Defininitely only one fru-fru drink a day, but how I do love them!
