@quiltingjaine high of 28 C or 83 F here on the west coast of Canada. They have a heat warning for us hahaha. It is not considered hot for almost anywhere else but for our island it is. I love it!

A friend to walk with or go to a class with, is what keeps me interested. Especially if it involves a social time after.

Weight training is great for building muscle but you may want to go a bit more slowly than what is recommended on most sites and books on weight training depending your level of inflammation. The muscle damage that is need for strengthening to occur can be a bit inflammatory. For example start with twice a week with 3 or 4…

Good advice. It is really difficult to estimate water-fit calories burned, whether for arthritis class or not. How much effort you put into each movement makes a difference. Good for you for moving. I hope it helps.

Log the the trips up and down stairs as 1 or 2 minutes of stairs. If you make 10 trips that is exercise and is not only providing a bit of a calorie burn but some added fitness. Even if you count each trip up and down as 10 calories it gives you a bit of extra motivation to keep moving.

You might be able to get an idea about what is normal for you by looking back to see how much weight you lost the first week of dieting. Most of that wonderful first big loss was probably water and glycogen weight.
