Low carb, high healthy fat, no processed foods, no soda (even diet), cut out that fake sugar junk, lots of exercise. I mean, exercise will be your 2nd job. Find a sport/activity that you LOVE and do it a lot. Those of us with PCOS tend to do better when we put hours a day into fitness. I laugh at my doctor when she says to…

Friendly Those Peeps in the background are evil minions though.

You look so confident and awesome!

It's an eye opener if it's your first time tracking :)

If you must accept something unhealthy at your room and have no choice, then destroy it and dump it in the trash can near the ice machines. :D I hate being in a situation where I feel pressured into accepting food because it is work related. I don't want to appear to be rude, but scarfing down birthday cake each week and…

I was interested, but it wants me to eat 2565 calories a day.

Religion. Noisy gum chewers. Co-workers whining about being unhealthy and having had a heart attack whilst they spend the day sucking down two McDonald's breakfasts, ten diet cokes and a foot long' Thanksgiving' sub. (not counting the junk eaten from the vending machine) Same co-workers eating loudly for eight hours…

I'm here daily. I recently broke my foot, can't wander off too far! :D

Awesome!

Roller derby. Horseback riding at good barn is usually a nice social experience.

Make sure the calories aren't low fat or fast food. Walking does help you lose weight. It just takes time! Becoming discouraged and straying from a good eating plan will be what gets ya! I'd double check what food is going in and then do strength exercises so your muscles can handle the pounding. Running x amount of steps…

Broken foot. Can't walk or use elliptical. My jeans are very loose. My bra is officially too big. Need to buy clothes! Staying on track with food. Arm bikes give more of a workout than people think.

Smoothies are a good way to hide them. Just make sure you aren't turning the smoothie into dessert with all the fruit and nut/seed butter options out there. Carrots, spinach, zucchini, onions, and peppers put into a food processor, then mixed into meatloaf. Use dried onion and ground flax in place of bread crumbs and it's…

Unless it becomes a daily thing, don't worry :)

Night time snacks. I've eliminated all but the mint tea I now have as a 'snack'. No sweetener. Just mint tea and water.

It took 20 years for me to be diagnosed. Since then, I've had doctors tell me I'm lying. It's a frustrating thing to have.

Diary of a Fit Mommy website and her Facebook both have a lot of nutrition info and workout videos that are great.

Mine wants me to scarf down 200 carbs a day, which of course means too many calories if I'm adding pasta and bread, which I do not touch. They raise my numbers too way too high and gluten makes me live in the bathroom anyway. Gluten-free bread and pasta just puts you closer to an early grave if you are diabetic. I'm…

Delicious makeup!

Bragg's Sprinkle Seasoning has helped. Chicken and veggie skewers with some olive oil and the seasoning are pretty yummy and we're not tired of eating them 3 or more times a week. The cauliflower 'rice' recipe where you cook it with onion and garlic goes well with this. I put the seasoning in that too!

It helps my PTSD and anxiety.

^ All of this :)

I was 280 pounds, pregnant and diabetic and injecting myself with insulin and was told it was unhealthy to not have a treat by the person shoving a plate of cake in front of me.

If you are abusing laxatives, puking up meals, beating yourself up over eating a strawberry, etc. then it's a disorder. Being organized and focused is not. Sometimes others are bothered by a person becoming successful with nutrition and fitness and their insecurities surface in that way. Usually when I've been successful,…

yep, what you are eating along with getting exercise is the key. For some, lowering carbs and increasing healthy fats tend to 'melt' away a bit of the tummy and neck areas first, which is a nice perk.

Great job!!! :)

It is a bit odd. Of course, this is probably good place for people looking for a SO with similar fitness/nutrition interests :)

I am 44 and have it as well. I was diagnosed around the age of 30.

Arming myself with a mountain of recipes and panning every single meal and snack for the week has kept me on track. I've started Whole30 and I ran in the snow this morning with my dog (snow shoes are awesome). I could barely walk through a grocery store on Friday. Just a few days of this and my arthritis isn't bugging me :)
