Jen, this is a great report and encouragement to all! I am 61 y.o. and yes I know that by sticking to a thing long enough, it will grow into a love for it... even if at present I'm hating it! I'm gonna hang in, like you and grow to love my piddly walks 2ce a day as I increase time & distance and I know the day will come…

I'm 5'2" and my goal is 130... I'm 61 y.o. I was at an all time high of 172 and came into MFP 1 week ago and have lost 4 lbs so far. Sounds like you've done great... nearly to your goal. Congratulations!

You have definitely paid it forward!!! You've really done wonderfully. Thanks so much for your post!

What a beautiful baby! yes, do check out all the message boards- lots of encouragement there. How limited are you with movement etc. and does your illness limit that totally? I wish you great success in your goals!

Yes tomorrow is another day... but also this happened this morning so you also have the rest of today to just get right back in there and back on your plan! I'll bet of the thousands of MFP members, not one of us hasn't done the very same thing. Also you say you've been doing the lo-carbs for a month... good for you!…

water toxicity is simply consuming too much water and thereby depleting your body of necessary electrolytes... when that happens confusion and even paranoia can set in / symptoms similar to schizophrenia, so yeah it's a very real thing...excessive thirst is one of the first symptoms of diabetes, plus certain meds you might…

Yes you can! great that you've done some inside work, figuring out" you" before embarking again... you're gonna make it just fine because you've done that.

My sister and I have noticed indigestion and acid reflux after eating bread... and not a problem with wraps, english muffins, pizza etc. Weird, huh?

Dr's office scale should be calibrated for accuracy on a routine basis... so yes, definitely check yours out as suggested above... might be surprised to find that your actual weight is less than you thought!

Sounds really deelish! But how's the calorie and fat count ( per ? cup serving)

Yes! Fill up with good healthy foods... have them on hand and ready to grab. Also, really accept that no food has to be forbidden and when those cravings come just tell yourself, " I can have that cupcake or donut (whatever) whenever I want, but I'm choosing not to right now". Some days it's saying that a million times.…

I agree with editorgrrl/ if anything, change your activity setting to lightly active. It's tough being a full time student and working crazy hours that fluctuate week to week as I'll bet yours do... esp. finding a flow for a decent and healthy eating plan plus workout time, but you can do this!

Great Job!!!

Thanx stinkjones64... Just got back from my second piddly 1/2 mile walk for the day but it alone is way more than I've done in a very long time, so I don't mean to minimize what I'm doing. ... Every step is a success, right? Thanks so much for your kind words and you remember as well that YOU are worth it!!!! My very best…
