It'll work if he is in a calorie deficit, it won't work if he is in a calorie surplus. i.e, it's woo.

Yup, you can lose weight on low carb, semi low carb, medium carb, whatever you want to call it, because it's all about the calorie deficit. I have my ratio set to 45% carbs personally, because that's where I naturally end up eating the things I like to eat.

Yes, I just ate less calories than I burned, which is the only way to lose weight.

Bench pressing works pretty well. Just make sure you touch the bar on your chest during the rep, otherwise you aren't really using those muscles much. Of course, as others have said, you'll need to lose some fat to make them show properly.

The downside is that you've been scammed out of money.

I can't sleep with my ankles crossed over anymore. I didn't even realise I used to do it until one day when I was in bed and just had two masses of bone digging into each other. Had to change a few other sleep position things too!

I am going to just eat what I feel like eating. It will slow my weight loss down a tiny bit, but Christmas is a time for indulgence to me! Given that I'd have to overeat by 3500 calories to gain a pound, I doubt I will gain any significant amount of weight.

Portion size for the most part. Sometimes the whole item is larger, sometimes it just has more dressing etc. Sometimes they just have a different source of cheese / buns between continents.

Maintain a calorie deficit. A quick peek at your diary reveals rather inconsistent logging, fixing that up will most likely aid you.

Blimey, where do you live? Here in the UK that's very very illegal for a employer to make you work over 6 hours without a break. Do you have to wear any special clothing? Slipping some Macadamia nuts or something else that's pretty small and calorie dense into a pocket of normal clothes could provide you with a quick…

Stop considering foods to be individually bad or good, look at the diet as a whole. Sustained weight loss is entirely about a calorie deficit. Eating 500 calories more than you burn of 'good' food will still cause you to gain as much weight as eating 500 calories more than you burn of 'bad' food in the long run. Use the…

So, if a person can lose weight while eating right and exercising while taking the pill, and they can also lose weight while eating right and exercising without taking the pill, the only common factor is the diet and exercise. Thus making the pill complete woo. As for the protein powders on that site, they are rather…

I see some protein powder, some t shirts, and a hell of a lot of woo on that link. If you look at the descriptions of the pills, they say that you've got to eat 'right' and exercise while taking the pills. i.e the pills do next to nothing by themselves, because sustained weight loss is all about a calorie deficit. I mean…

I tried water, but it just made the shakes taste thin and pasty and not like food. I could have continued on the water route for a while, but I have a rule of not eating or drinking anything I find unpleasant.

Personally, it was because I loved food and stopped caring about myself for a long time, I feel into a dark spiral of depression and eventually got diagnosed as bi-polar. I let my gut get out of control, my teeth go bad, my relationships with people sour, the whole 9 yards. I first noticed I was a bit fat a good 3-4 years…

Do what works for you. My stomach gets weird in the morning. I can go to sleep feeling a little hungry, and wake up feeling full. If I try and force breakfast into me, I just end up chewing the food a lot and not being able to swallow it. I just pack an apple and a shake that I can snack on during the walk to work / rest…

Fair play, I think the new outcome might be even worst than the first! But to OP, despite this new information coming to light, doing things slow and steady in a way that teaches you proper eating habits is going to have a much higher chance of long term success still. All these quick fixes and hacks are for the short…

Get the body fat % down. It's much much easier to develop abs than it is to reveal them from behind a layer of fat. The old saying is "Abs are made in the gym, and revealed in the kitchen"

What did you set your exercise level, and weight less per week goal at?
-
It's basically an amphetamine. Amphetamines suppress the appetite, like caffeine does. You can get the same effect from caffeine with less side effects, for cheaper. Or, you could just eat less calories than you burn, and not take short cuts that don't really teach you any proper eating habits. I'd advise against taking…

My tip is: Don't do this to yourself.

I count my days from wake to sleep regardless of the time of day. I used to occasionally eat something past midnight and log it on the next day, but it just lead to me *always* doing that, so I accepted I just like to late night snack, and a 'one waking period' rule made more sense.

If your profile is correct, there is no good safe way for you to lose that much weight in that time frame. You'd need to have a large amount to lose to do that.
-
We can't be sure, but what I can be sure of is that your calorie amounts are not accurate. I just took a quick peek at your diary, With only 8lbs to go your margin for error is very small, so you need to stop measuring stuff in cups and cubes and start going by grams, then also stop using generic entries and use the…

Your diary does not show as open on this end.

I hate to break it to you, but if you're netting 600 calories a day and the weight isn't melting off you, then you aren't netting 600 calories a day. If you open your diary to the public, we could give more detailed feedback. 600 calories net per day is super crazy low. According to your profile, you've only got 8 lbs to…

Eating clean and pushing yourself is all well and good, but if you aren't in a calorie deficit, you aren't going to lose weight. A new (or increased intensity) workout routine can cause some additional water weight which is temporary. We need to know more stats, height, weight, calorie deficit per day, method of…

Add the individual items you are using to a blank meal slot, with the weights of those items. Click quick tools > remember meal and give it a name. I find this superior to the recipe builder because it's easier to change the quantities of the food items in them.
-
Ahh this totally explains why it hasn't recalculated anything for me since I set a custom goal, I've only lost about 8lbs since then. Thanks, I was just wondering about that!

I plugged in the stats for a sedentary 33 year old 179lbs woman into a TDEE calc and 1200 calories per day would work out to roughly a 500 calorie deficit, for a weight loss of around 1lb per week. So assuming you are sedentary, then that extra 600 calories per week isn't even going to wipe out 20% of your weekly deficit,…
